Warning Character death. Lyrics by Evansecence. A little bit dark and dismal. With a little ray of hope.

Draco looked around the courtyard at Malfoy manor. He was alone, and the way he felt he would be alone for ever more. His chest was aching, his heart was empty. He had lost her, lost her to the wind and rain. That's what he thought she would have wanted, not buried. What could she see if she were trapped in a dark casket buried beneath soil or in a dark tomb?
Playground school bell rings again
Rain clouds come to play again
No, that was not the place for her. She would hate it. Draco knew when she died that the only thing to do with her body was to release it to the world. Luna Lovegood had never cared to be shut away in the dark where she could see nothing. So now her ashes were carried on the whim of the wind. She was the wind and the rain, dancing around him, teasing him, thawing him.
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
Hello I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
Lucius watched his son. Draco had been down since the girls' death. He had been quiet and reclusive. Attempts to speak to him would fail. Everyone who had been friends with him or cared about him had attempted it. Hell Lucius was so worried about his son that he allowed Harry Potter to come into his manor, and that was not something Lucius ever wanted to happen. But Draco needed something. Draco had something, but it still broke Lucius heart to see his child in pain. He wanted to take the pain away from his boy.
If I smile and don't believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
Draco sat head cradled in his hands. He could feel the rain hit his back. He wasn't bothered, it was the middle of summer, and it was that day. He knew his shirt was sticking to his back and that his mother would scold him for setting a bad example. His head snapped up at the sound of a giggle. The giggle that sounded so like her giggle, the giggle that Draco would never ever forget, nor would he be allowed to.
Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken
I'm the lie living for you so you can hide
A little girl about three years old ran out into the rain. Approaching him she wasn't bothered about the heavy raindrops that fell onto her dress or how her little white ankle socks were getting wet. She was on a mission. Draco watched the little blond ringlets bounce as she ran towards him. No he was not alone. It felt that sometimes he would be alone, that his heart would turn to stone but then one smile from the little blond would crack the stone. He stood up and scooped her up in his strong arms, cuddling her close to his chest. Looking into her chocolate brown eyes he could see so much promise. She had so much potential, just waiting to be unleashed like a serpent ready to strike upon the docile world.
Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
I'm still here, all that's left of yesterday
"Serpia." Draco smiled at his daughter.
"Dada?" she asked him, a little frown creasing her forehead.
Draco laughed at the concerned look on the child's face and twirled her in a circle, both getting soaking wet, but neither caring. Because he knew that no matter what, Luna was everywhere.
