Growing up, Ginny always wanted to be like Bill. She wanted to be popular and charismatic, a rebel. She wanted people to look at her with admiration and envy. She wanted to be daring and, well, cool.

Growing up, Ginny always wanted to be like Charlie. She wanted to be wise, with kind eyes and a curly-lipped smile. She wanted to be a daredevil, with a heart as warm as a hearth fire.

Growing up, Ginny always wanted to be like Percy. She wanted to be smart and earn good scores, and be respected for her brains. She wanted to be a prefect, Head Girl, someone important.

Growing up, Ginny wanted to be like Fred and George. She wanted to be clever and bold and mischievous and friendly. She wanted people to look at her with a smile and shake their heads in mock exasperation, saying, "That Ginny, she's a wild one, eh?"

Growing up, Ginny wanted to be like Ron. She wanted to be brave as anything, loyal and good at chess. She wanted to have friends who would die for her, and people who looked at her and saw a hero.

When she was all grown up, Ginny just wanted to be herself. It wasn't any of her brothers that Harry Potter was in love with, after all.
