Marriage had always been an irritating concept for Crowley. He couldn't understand why two perfectly sane, reasonable people suddenly get it into their heads that they had to make out-dated patriarchal promises to each other, knowing they would spend the rest of their lives failing miserably to live up to them.

And of course, there was the dreaded post-ceremony party, where two completely incompatible family groups would make awkward conversation, only just resisting the urge to beat the snot out of one another.

But when he saw his angel coming up the aisle towards him, robed in the purest white, he suddenly realised that love and marriage do indeed go together like a horse and carriage.
