Disco is Back by Lowrider Angel

"I cannot believe I let you guys talk me into this!" Sara laughed as the night shift dragged her into Saturday Night, a disco/karaoke club right off of the Strip.

"It's too late now!" Greg pushed Sara up to the stage. "Birthday girl goes first."

"Whoo!" Catherine yelled. "Go Sara!"

Sara said something to the DJ and then stepped in front of the microphone. "Hi, I'm Sara." She smiled at the crowd. "This is for a special someone out there. They know who they are." She cleared her throat and waited as the DJ cued the music.

Grissom's jaw practically scraped the floor when he heard the opening strains to Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive.' Oh my God. He thought. She isn't doing this. But the song was already slipping out in Sara's smooth alto.

At first I was afraid,

I was petrified,

Kept thinkin' I could never live without you by my side,

But then I spent so many nights

Thinkin how you did me wrong

And I grew strong

And I learned how to get along

And so you're back,

From outer space

I just walked in to find you here

With that sad look upon your face

I should have made you change the lock

I should have made you give your key

If I'd have known for just one second

You'd be back to bother me.

Go on,

Now go

Walk out the door

Just turn around now

Cuz you're not welcome anymore

Weren't you the one who tried to break me with goodbye

Did you think I'd crumble?

Did you think I'd lay down and die?

Oh no, not I,

I will survive,

As long as I know how to love,

I know I'll stay alive,

I've got all my life to live,

I've got all my love to give,

I will survive

Hey, hey!

Grissom was mortified as she continued on, her face growing stronger and stronger with every word she sang. Finally the song came to an end. The crowd was on their feet, demanding an encore.

"Wow, thanks." A smile graced Sara's face. "This one goes out to Nick Stokes, the love of my life." She opened her mouth and began to sing 'Love Hangover' by Diana Ross. After she was done, Sara bounded down the stairs and back to the table where the nightshift was sitting.

Greg, Warrick, and Nick got up and trooped over to the stage. "Happy Birthday Sara!" They shouted, and launched into The Village People's 'Macho Man'

Sara turned at least fifteen different shades of red when each of the three guys took off their shirts and swung them around, stripper-style. When they finished, the three guys mobbed Sara in a huge hug. "I can't believe you guys." She giggled. "This is the best birthday ever!"

The remainder of the evening was spent trying out old disco moves and having a ball. Sara had never been so happy in her life.
