Chapter 1 (Keiko)

"Atsuko! He stopped breathing!" I said.

"No pulse either. Oh, not again. Not Yusuke!" she said, starting to cry.

God, don't do this to me. Not Yusuke, not now. Two more days until Valentine's day… Why! Why, God? I screamed in my head. "Why?" I whispered.

"Cars just seem to be drawn to the boy," Atsuko said, crying and smiling at the same time.

"Yeah, but this time I think it was on purpose," I said angrily.

"Really? Why do you say that?" Atsuko asked me.

"'Cause the guy smirked as he drove away. I saw him. He had a black Ferrari convertible, license plate 'YKH-8787', guy had long black hair, and was wearing sunglasses and no shirt," I said.

"Tell that to the cops! They'll nail him!" Atsuko said.

"Oh, I plan to," I replied.

Later, at the police station, I was waiting to find out if the guy was in their records, when I started to fall asleep. I started dreaming about what had happened… from Yusuke's eyes. And then it got weirder than that. I was standing I the road, and Yusuke walked up to me.

"Keiko, I'm allowed to come back, but it has to be on Valentine's day… it's weird, I have only one shot at this. I need you to make sure everything works out. And don't think this is just a dream this time… 'cause it's not. I need you to do this for me," he said.

"I will," I replied. Then I woke up to a policeman tapping me on the shoulder.

"Yeah?" I said groggily.

"Miss, there's no record of him anywhere. I'm sorry to say that he's not even registered his car. We can't find him," the officer said.

"Oh… ok," I said. "That's too bad, though. The guy is a hit and run murderer, after all. At least once. He killed my boyfriend."

"We'll try our best, then, but he'll be hard to find," the officer said.
