Guardians of the North

"This is so not good!" Buffy held her axe tightly as the vampires started to advance, "I thought you said there were only supposed to be a few of them? Had I known it was this many, I would have brought backup!"

"I was evidently miss-informed." Giles started patting down his packets, "Where did I put the damn thing?"

"What are you looking for?" Buffy asked, never taking her eyes of the vampires.

"Something that might help. Got it!" Giles reached into is pocket and pulled out a strangely shaped whistle, "Things are going to get a little strange in a second, but what ever you do, stay calm and don't do anything unless I tell you." Giles blew the whistle as hard as he could, a strange whizzing sound filling the night air, drifting across the loch behind them.

Nothing happened for a second, then the water erupted and something huge loomed over the Slayer and her Watcher from out of the loch.

"Giles…" Buffy looked up at the creature that towered above her.

"It's ok." Giles reassured her, then turned to the monster, "Hello Ferocious-Ness."

"Rupert." The monster nodded, "It has been a long time since I last saw you."

"I've been in America." The Watcher explained, "My friend and I have a little problem here, and I was hoping you could help…"

"What problem?" Ferocious-Ness looked around, "Vampires? I HATE VAMPIRES!" he roared loudly, the sound echoing off the surrounding mountains as he leapt out of the water and started to attack the startled demons.

Two more creatures erupted from the water, and started to chase the terrified Vampires away, snapping at them with their huge teeth.

"Something you want to tell me?" Buffy asked as she watched the carnage.

"You've already met Ferocious-Ness, and the other two are Heavy-Ness and Mighty-Ness." Giles explained, "I met them yeas ago, when I was visiting my cousins, Angus and Elspeth McTout. I helped them save Silly-Ness, so Her Highness gave me a thistle whistle as a reward."

"But what are they?"

"Isn't it obvious? They're Loch Ness Monsters…"

The End

And I thought that a Buff/2001 crossover was strange. Almost no one outside my age group and nationality is going to get this…
