Author's Note: I said I'd write this a long time ago and it's been saved in my folder for the longest time now. I just kinda forgot about it and just recently found it and decided to post it. And because I'm trying to avoid account closure and attempting to keep my fic up at the same time, I've removed the lyrics. You could listen to the song while you read it. I hope that's alright for you all. I apologize for the major inconvenience, though.

Disclaimer: Jimmy Neutron does not belong to me. I know you all know this, but I'm just saying, you know. We all do.

Accidently In Love

By Counting Crows

Jimmy looked a little down. He had come to realize something today.

He was in love. . .with Cindy "Beautiful" Vortex.

He didn't know what to do. It wasn't suppose to happen and what did he really know about love, anyway?

But he liked the feeling he got when he was with her and nothing ever really mattered as long as they were together.

Remembering Cindy and their time together was all it took to melt away his doubt and concerns.

He gave into the warmth in his heart that seemed to coil and curve around inside him.

There was no escaping her or his love for her. . .and possibly not even her love and that was what he was on his way to find out.

When they were together his loneliness disappeared and he could laugh with her about the stupidest of things. He had never been so happy. He had never even expected it! What had started out as a joke had ended up to be so much more.

When he reached her house, he was surprised to see her waiting on the porch with a smile on her face. She stepped down, away from the porch and same to stand only a few feet away from him.

There was a moment of silence before she opened up her arms and ran to him.

As she jumped into his arms, Jimmy knew what her answer was before she even said anything and he held her tight.

She kissed him once and that was enough for Jimmy to fall weak in the knees, but he had still managed to keep his arms tightly about her waist.

This whole day had been an accident. He had accidently stumbled across her feet earlier that day and accidently looked into her eyes as she helped him up and he had accidently over heard her talking to Nick about the mistake they had made by going out. He also accidently made it obvious that he had been listening when he had accidently tripped on his shoe lace again when he moved to listen closely. He then accidently knocked his head on the locker before he hit the floor. That was when he and Cindy looked into each other's eyes for the second time that day.

In the nurses office, Cindy sat with him as he held an ice pack to the corner of his forehead. The nurse walked over and with a cotton swab, cleaned the fresh blood from the cut before applying a band-aide. Cindy sat down beside him again and this was when he had realized that she had only momentarily left him. She took his ice pack and cleaned off the blood and when the nurse was done, she held the ice pack to his head. Jimmy looked at her as she kept the ice pack steady against his head and without thinking he said, "I love you."

"Oh, boy," the nurse replied as she walked away

"Go out with me," he said as she stared at him, wide-eyed. "Please say yes."

She didn't reply. Instead she handed him the ice pack, took her books, and left.

"At least give me an answer after school!" he said, though it sounded more of a question, as he rushed out the door behind her.He stood there for a moment as she walked down the hall and disappeared around the corner.

And that was why he had ended up at Cindy's door.

As they stood there holding each other, Cindy expressed her feelings for the first. "I love you too," she whispered. "And I'd love to go out with you."

Now Jimmy could honestly say that they were both accidently in love.
