Brotherly Conversations

Jack lay on his bed, thoughts bombarding his brain, preventing him from sleeping. He had finally met his father; something he never thought he would be able to do.

Knock knock


"Um...Hey Jack" Bobby said uncertainly, standing a little bit behind the partially opened door.

"What do you want?" he asked, immediately regretting the harsh tone in his voice as Bobby shook his head and turned to leave.

"Hey Bobby! Come back" he said , and his brother came back into the room. "What did you want?" he asked in a slightly more gentle tone of voice.

"'s kind of stupid really, but I was sort of just wondering...what's he like?" Bobby asked quietly

"Oh" Jack said, realization dawning on him. "He...he reminded me a lot of you, actually. He loves to read, very curious about things. We might write letters and stuff, you know, keep in touch sorta thing"

"Does he know about me?"

"Yeah, mom tells him about us when she goes to see him each year"

"Was he...did he kn-"

"He said that it would have been great to meet you, but he understood why you didn't come"

"Oh, Ok. Do you think, maybe if mom goes back next year, if you wanted, maybe you could come with me to meet him?"

"Sure, no problem Bobby"

"Thanks. And Jack?"


"Are you glad you went?"

Jack hesitated for a moment, then, realizing his answer, allowed a smile to flow across his face for a moment

"Yeah, I am"

"Good-night Jack"


A/N: I don't know if the story makes any sense compared with the show, it's just something I wrote on my lunch yesterday at school, and decided to post it, see if anyone like it. R&R, let me know what you think please!
