Inspired by the Harry/Ginny thread title on FictionAlley—Ron and Draco Agreed on Something!

Ron never thought this would happen to him in a thousand years. Sure, he had a dream that was kind of like this the other night, but it involved Hermione and not…

Draco Malfoy, who was resting his head on his hand. This might be Pansy Parkison's dream come true, being stuck in a broom closet with him. Ron thought it punishment for something he'd done in the past. They were in opposite corners of the tiny closet, and refused to talk, or even look at, to each other.

Finally, Draco muttered, "I can't believe I'm in here."

"I feel the same way," Ron said, burying his head in his arms.

He continued, much to Ron's annoyance. "I mean, really, why I am stuck in here with this Weasley," Draco frowned, "at least with the girl there was a chance we could…pass the time." He smirked, and realized that he wasn't getting a rise from Ron. "Of course, we all know she and Potter will end up together, so it's no use."

Ron lifted his head. "What? You think Harry and Ginny will be with each other, too?"

"Erm," Draco looked at Ron as if he were an escapee from St. Mungo's, "I guess." He sat up. "Ever since second year, I've always thought so."

Nodding fervently, Ron added, "Yes! They're a perfect match! She gets him out of his grouchy moods better than even Hermione or I could."

"And, well," Draco eased into the conversation, "she sent him that bloody valentine second year."

Ron shook his head. "Not a suave moove. And you see how he's so concerned for her? He always goes to her first for the story, and it seems like he constantly watches her!"

Draco bobbed his head in agreement. "When she put that Bat-Bogey Hex on me last year, my thoughts were on how proud her precious Potter would be!"

They grew silent. Finally, Ron said, "I'm okay with it, as long as Harry's hands are where I can see them."

"I highly doubt that." Draco's lip curled into a sneer. "I bet they'd be one of those fluffy, affectionate couples that sicken me."

"Nah," Ron replied, "I'd say that'd be the perception, but I doubt it. Besides, I'd hex Harry before they did anything in front of me."

He leaned in, "You know," Draco whispered, "some think that Harry and Hermione will get together. I don't buy it."

Ron nearly stood up. "They are platonic. Does anybody know the meaning of platonic around here?" He crossed his arms with a huff.

"I know, I know…but we know what's going to happen," Draco said in an assuring voice.

Blinking, they looked at each other, realizing they just had a civilized conversation. Suddenly, the door opened and Ginny and Harry's faces appeared.

"Hello, Ron," Ginny said brightly, while Harry gave Draco a confused look, "we've been looking for you!" She noticed the other young man in the closet, who looked extremely uncomfortable. "Malfoy, what are you doing here?"

Both Ron and Draco pushed past Harry and Ginny, going in opposite directions. Harry gave Ginny a bewildered look.

"What?" asked Ginny, "have they been snogging or something?"
