"Computers. I'm good with computers," Tim gabbled.

Jason looked at him.

"You want to be Robin." Jaybird considered it. Ever since Ethiopia – the Joker (he still felt a thrill when he remembered beating that green head in) – he hadn't been the epitome of fitness. His arms always hurt – wouldn't hold – his back creaked, and his eyes wouldn't focus for long.

Tim hunched over and didn't look up. "Batman needs a Robin."

There was a shot.

"Sorry kid," Jason said regretfully. "I'm not ready to be replaced."
