Chapter 1

" Eww!" Miroku. That was gross." Kagome laughed as she grimaced at her best friend's disgusting habits. Miroku mixed ketchup, honey, mustard and mayo into a ramekin of butter and dipped his fries into the mix.

"Don't hate on my special sauce." Miroku chewed contently on his fries.

"You see what I have to deal with? I mean, you must pity me deep inside." Sango muttered dramatically.

"Oh please, you know you love me..." Miroku smiled as he puckered his lips and came close to her face which immediately was halted by her hand.

"You touch me, you die." Sango frowned.

"I'm pitying you as we speak, Sango " Kagome laughed as she took a sip of her coffee. She looked at her watch as her laugh faded into silence and glanced out of the window of the coffee shop with a heavy sigh. "Do you guys know what's up with Inuyasha lately? I haven't seen him for like a week. Every time I call him, he keeps the conversation short and blows me off." she scoffed. "Did he say anything to you, Miroku?"

"Nope, I haven't seen him since last week either." Miroku took a bite of his breakfast burrito and dipped it into his secret sauce.

Kagome frowned and tilted her head. "Hmph... I called him last night and he said he was hanging with you." she looked at Miroku questionably.

Miroku shifted in his seat and met eyes with Sango who turned to look at him suspiciously." Oh, that's right, I forgot...um...my brain's been stuck on slow, sorry. I…have to get going." He wiped his hands clean with a napkin. "Sorry, babe. Work." He quickly kissed Sango on the cheek and flashed Kagome a forced smile.

Kagome looked at Sango who shrugged.

"Ok…that's not suspicious at all." Kagome scoffed. "Why would Inuyasha lie and say he was with him?"

"I don't know, Kagome." Sango sighed sympathetically. She looked out of the coffee shop and observed people walking past.

"He's been acting so weird the last couple of months. You know, like, he's always so busy and when I call him, he's always rushing me off the phone. Even when we kiss, it's like those weird friendly tap kisses, so passionless."

Sango stirred her coffee and took a sip. "Hmm, that is weird."

"I mean..." Kagome leaned closer. "We don't even have sex anymore. Like…it's been months."

"Seriously?"

"I know." Kagome looked away feeling embarrassed.

Sango's lips twitch as she thought deeply. "maybe something's up with him...did you ask?"

"Well, I've tried but…he gives me short answers and then tells me it's nothing. I guess, he's been working a lot on his music...so when he comes home, he'd be completely burnt-out?"

"I don't know, Kagome." Sango retorted in disbelief. "He's a guy. They're never too tired for that...but I don't want to put things in your head."

"What do you mean?" Kagome's eyes widened. " Are you implying something?"

"I'm not implying anything, Kagome. I am just trying to assess the facts given. I mean, if he were any other guy, I'd say he was cheating on you...but this is Inuyasha here...he went throughout our pubescent years of school pining for you. He wouldn't be so stupid." Sango assured her with a warm smile.

"Ok...but why would he lie?" Kagome uttered. "He's definitely hiding something, right? I mean, he's ghosting me and we've been together for almost five years."

"Why don't you ask Sesshomaru?"

"Yeah right. Before or after he tells me to fuck off?" Kagome snorted. "He hates my guts."

Sango leaned back into her chair and looked around the coffee shop. "Where's Kikyo? I haven't seen her in a little while."

"She's in Hawaii." Kagome shrugged, still concerned about Inuyasha's behavior.

"What is she doing in Hawaii? And where did she get the money?"

"Sesshomaru, I guess." Kagome said, not really caring. "She mentioned she wanted to take a trip after graduation."

"Why didn't you go with her? I thought twins do everything together."

"Common misconception." Kagome gritted. "Come on, Sango, I'm not in the mood for jokes. You know Kikyo and I don't get along. She's a cold-hearted twat. She and Sesshomaru are perfect for each other."

"Ok, change of topic." Sango sat up straight wanting to cheer up her friend. " How does it feel to finally finish high school?" she squealed. "You excited? We're adults now, well, sort of. Not old enough to drink."

"Like that stopped us." Kagome smirked. "But I signed the lease to my apartment and definitely got that job at Crescent Corp, totally killed it in my interview. Everything is almost perfect except for what's happening between me and Inuyasha."

Kagome and Sango both looked up when Sesshomaru entered the coffee shop. He walked over to the counter, lowered his sunglasses and spoke his order to the barista. A group of girls on the line were ogling him, giggling and dolling themselves for him to notice. Even the barista had hearts in her eyes as he handed her his credit card. He pinned his mini laptop between his arm and ribs as he grabbed his coffee and walked over to a table not too far from them.

"Ask him!" Sango whispered tersely.

"Absolutely not." Kagome said flatly.

"Oh, come on. I'll call him over here, ok?" Sango nodded.

"No, Sango! No!" Kagome pleaded quietly.

"Hey, Sesshomaru!" Sango shouted.

Sesshomaru turned his head slowly and squinted, appearing aggravated as he paused midair from taking a seat. He saw Sango's gesture to come forth and sighed. He walked over towards their table and stood before them revealing an inconvenienced expression, but this was his usual expression. Everything that existed around him was an inconvenience.

"We were wondering..." Sango looked at Kagome who was avoiding eyes with the demon. "Do you know where Inuyasha is?"

"Why would I know where he is?" he said in a clipped tone. He regarded Kagome for a moment then looked back at Sango impatiently.

"Because he's your brother?"

"I know nothing about my brother's whereabouts, nor do I care." he looked at Kagome and bowed his head. "Is that all?"

"Yeah, sorry…" Sango pressed her lips together and sighed as he walked away. "Boy, what's his problem?" She mocked his snooty walk.

"He's arrogant..." Kagome rolled her eyes. "That's why we don't get along. He thinks he's better than everyone. I told you, him and Kikyo, perfect match made in hell."

"I don't know, he looked more annoyed than usual." Sango snuck a look over her shoulder at him. "You think him and Kikyo are having problems?"

"Who cares." Kagome rubbed her hands through her long black hair. "Whatever, I guess I'll call Inuyasha later and try to get to the bottom of this."

"You said Sesshomaru hates you." Sango said. "Why does he have any issues with you?"

"because I'm a pointless being breathing up his oxygen." Kagome stood up. "I'm going to go." She sighed. "I still have to pack my things into my new apartment. I am still looking for a roommate, you know. The offer still stands."

"I know…"Sango mused.

"You don't have to live with that perverted Miroku." Kagome teased.

"That is true but…" Sango sighed. "someone has to watch him. I don't understand, why didn't you just move with Inuyasha?"

"He didn't want to. He said it was too soon to move in together." Kagome rolled her eyes.

"What are you doing for the rest of the day?"

"I have to finish moving in and I'm going to stop at Kikyo's place afterward to pick something up before she comes home. I was able to get a copy of her keys from my mom."

"Why are you sneaking into her place?"

"She owes me money and I know where she keeps her secret stash. If I leave it up to her, she'll never pay me back. Besides, I need all the money I can get to buy me some time before I desperately need a roommate."

"Ok…if you say so. Just don't be late for dinner tonight." Sango replied and watched Kagome leave. She grabbed her cup of coffee, took a sip and noticed Sesshomaru looking toward the exit where Kagome was leaving. As she passed the café window, Sesshomaru's gaze followed her until she was out sight.

"Hmph…" she droned. Sesshomaru must have noticed as his gaze whipped toward her. He adjusted himself in his seat and went back to his laptop.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Kagome froze in the doorway before her two-bedroom apartment. It looked so empty. Granted, she just moved in but it felt cold and lonely. She gulped away the unfamiliarity and began to unload the boxes. She had connected the phone weeks prior to the move-in and growled that no one had left her any messages. In truth, she was expecting one person specifically to call. Hours passed and she set everything up. She didn't have much; a mismatched living room set, her twin sized bed she had since she was ten years old, and a few shelf units from IKEA, which she was waiting for Inuyasha to help assemble. She sat on the couch for a moment, not knowing what else to do and locked her eyes with the phone beside the door. Sauntering toward it, she grabbed it and checked to hear a dial tone. Ok, it was connected, maybe the ringer did not work. She dialed Sango's number and felt a stab of concern when she answered.

"Hey, can you do me a favor?" Kagome's voice wavered. "Can you call me back? I want to see if the phone is working, thanks."

Kagome hung up. Please don't work! Please don't work, she hoped but the phone rang.

"Thanks..." she let out a depressed sigh when she answered. "Yes, I'm practically done. I'll be by in an hour, going to stop at Kikyo's first."

She hung up the phone and shrugged off the bad feeling she kept having all day. There was a foreboding vibe lingering in the air making her skin crawl. She tried looking at the bright side. She finished high school, had her own apartment, a decent job that is willing to work with her school schedule, though they haven't called yet to let her know she had the job. She had a scholarship, good friends, a boyfriend whom she's been with for five years. Her life was perfect. And she had her first car!

It was an ugly beige Toyota with a red rusty hood. The side mirror was held with duct tape and if she drove over 30 miles, it made a weird whistling sound but it was perfect. So why was she feeling such a strong feeling of dread? She had it all. She laughed as she picked up her keys. She had it all, she kept reminding herself. She left her apartment building, got into her car and drove to Kikyo's house.

Though she was stuck in traffic for thirty minutes, she made good time. She could still make it to Sango's by 8pm for dinner. She turned on the radio and began tuning through stations and stopped as she heard a song. Inuyasha's song. Inuyasha was in a band called 'City Slackers' and had gotten famous with their single " Living deception". Kagome smiled at her boyfriend's success and turned the volume up and began to sing along to the chorus.

"Through my smiles I know
I've taken yours away
My heart leads me into
the path...the path of betrayal.

Living deception
is the life I'm leading now.
Someone please save me,
I can't stop I don't know how!"

Kagome sang out loud as she drummed her fingers against the steering wheel. The traffic began to move and she felt like all was getting better. Sure, the first time she heard her boyfriend's voice in days was through the radio but still, she wasn't going to let that get the best of her. She and Inuyasha knew they would have to spend time apart with his touring and her going to school. They expected this but they both felt their relationship was strong enough to overcome it.
She turned the corner of her sister's block and parked outside of her building. Kagome waited for the song to finish before turning off the car. The car coughed, wheezed and sputtered before going silent. She heard a scoff a few feet away.

"They should give you a ticket for littering the highway with that piece of junk." said a familiar monotone voice.

Kagome looked around and saw Sesshomaru leaning against his car. He pressed his key to activate the alarm to his White Mustang and walked toward her. He wore a tapered wool black trench coat over a burgundy crewneck sweater. He took a pull of his cigarette before flicking it away.

"What are you doing here?" Kagome looked at him and began walking into the building.

"I came to surprise your sister." Sesshomaru smirked as they were greeted by the doorman. "What are you doing here?"

"I need to get something. She's not going to be here until midnight, you know?"

"I like to be punctual." He dismissed.

"Five hours punctual?" Kagome shook her head.

The doorman looked at her and Sesshomaru and smiled nervously.

"Ms. Kagome, Lord Sesshomaru? What a lovely evening, is it not?" he bowed his head.

"Hi, Myoga. Yes, I guess it is." Kagome forced a smile. She hated small talk.

Sesshomaru nodded and continued walking. Kagome followed him to the elevator.

"H-How's everything?" he stuttered as he followed them. "Is school going well, Ms. Kagome? How about with you, Lord Sesshomaru? Is the business prospering?"

"School hasn't started yet." Kagome tried to press the button for the elevator but Myoga stood in the way. He was acting strange.

Sesshomaru scowled at the doorman. He never spoke to him nor did he care to talk. Why was he asking questions? He realized Myoga's intentions confirming that his suspicions were right. He pushed past Myoga and pressed the button to the elevator. Though he didn't want Kagome here. The doors opened and he looked at Kagome.

"Can you come another time to retrieve what you need?" Sesshomaru asked, holding the elevator door open.

"Why?" she looked at his arm. "I'm here now."

They looked at Myoga, he was sweating and fidgeting around. He kept his finger on the button.

Kagome and Sesshomaru exchanged glances and looked at the him.

"Are you going to let go of the elevator door, Myoga? I am kind of in a hurry." Kagome said, politely.

"Sorry..." Myoga gave a nervous chuckle as he let go of the button. The door closed and Myoga started hyperventilating.

Kagome and Sesshomaru stood silent in the elevator as it ringed for each floor. Kikyo lived on the 23rd floor.

"Why don't you tell me what it is you're looking for and I'll bring it to you." Sesshomaru said, trying to get rid of her.

"Because there are a few places she may put it and you probably won't find it." Her phone began to vibrate in her jacket pocket, and she began searching for it.

Sesshomaru kept his head straight but glanced to the side as he watched her look for her phone.

She cursed under her breath as she violently pulled it out being stuck in the fabric of her jacket. She heard something rip but she didn't care.

"Hello?" she said into the phone. After a moment of struggling to hear, she stuck her finger in her other ear. "Sango...I can't hear you...you're breaking up."

Sango's voice broke on the other line. " I ne-ed-t -som-ing. Don- Inu-heating-ikyo"

Kagome sighed. " Look, I'll call you back, I'm in the elevator and I don't know what you're saying." she hung up the phone.

She looked at Sesshomaru who still had his face straight forward with the same expression. She grew tired of the silence as they passed by the fifteenth floor.

"so...can't wait to see Kikyo?" she said as she twisted her lip from side to side.

"You can say that..." he said bitterly and continued to look at the numbers on the screen. Kagome being here was not part of the plan. Oh well, she was just going to have to witness it all unfold. She should know what type of person her sister was. They finally reached the floor and got out.

Sesshomaru's jaw tightened as he stared at Kagome from the side. He looked frustrated and took a long step forward. He turned to face her and blocked her path and attempted to try again.

"I was hoping to have some privacy so…could you…leave?"

"Excuse me?" Kagome pushed past him. "I'll be like ten minutes, is that a problem? You'll still have plenty of time until she arrives."

Kagome studied him, confused as to why he was trying to get rid of her.

"I'll be quick and out of your way in no time."

"I highly doubt that..." he muttered to himself.

Kagome opened the door and walked in. The lights were off and she turned on a lamp that was on the desk. The light was dim, but it was enough to see. Sesshomaru gracefully walked behind her and frowned as he shut the door quietly.
Kagome stared perplexedly at him and shook her head as she continued walking to the living room. She walked toward the entertainment center and lowered herself to her knees to look through the cases of DVD's. Sesshomaru crossed his arms and leaned against the wall hoping she'd hurry up when he heard whispers and laughing coming from the bedroom. He looked down at Kagome but knew she didn't hear it.

"Any time now." He said, being conscious to keep his voice low. "Did you come all this way to borrow a movie?"

"No…I'm looking for something."

"Can you speed this up?" he whispered.

Kagome looked over her shoulder at him. "Why are you whispering?"

Sesshomaru desperately needed a cigarette but thought against it. He didn't want to give away his position in the house by the smoke. A light moan escaped the bedroom door and he scowled. He glared back down at Kagome, noticing her feeling underneath the entertainment center and sighed with relief when she pulled out a key that was taped into it. She opened a locked cabinet beside the TV stand. She found the envelope of cash, quickly counted the three grand, and stuffed it into her pocket.

"She owes me money." Kagome explained, not wanting Sesshomaru to think she was a thief.

"You don't have to explain anything to me." he said, his eyes trailing at her backside where a pink thong poke out from the edge of her pants.

"Alright, you found what you needed." He said, picking her up from the floor. He attempted to walk her toward the door when she froze in place, making him bump into her backside. His arms gripped at her shoulders as he looked to see what she was looking at. He followed her gaze to the couch where a red men's hoody hung off the corner of the couch along with men's boxers and a women's bra.

Kagome's heart stopped when she saw Inuyasha's hoody on the sofa. There was no mistake about it, it was his. She had gotten him that sweater for their anniversary and altered it herself. Sesshomaru attempted to push Kagome toward the door but a loud moan resonated the walls from the bedroom, this time, there was no mistaking Kagome heard that one. Realizing his hands were still holding her, he released her and she walked over to the couch and grabbed the hoody. She brought it to her face, sniffed it briefly, and dropped it on the ground realizing it was Inuyasha's scent.

"You should go." Sesshomaru said, his tone was soft and piteous, but Kagome slowly walked down the hallway toward the bedroom. Sesshomaru ambled right behind her, glancing at her from behind when Kikyo's laughter broke through the door followed by Inuyasha moaning and growling. Kagome paused and looked over her shoulder at him, her expression horrified. She reached for the doorknob when Sesshomaru's hand grabbed hers.

"Maybe you shouldn't…"he whispered into her ear.

She paused over the doorknob as she contemplated whether to open it or not. She wanted to open it but didn't have the courage to see what was behind these doors. She looked at Sesshomaru, her eyes welling up with tears, pleading for him to open the door for her. He watched her for a moment, feeling a stab of sympathy. He moved her to the side and went in front of her. With no warning, Sesshomaru turned the knob and pushed the door wide open. There were screams and whimpers and Kagome dared to look inside, not realizing she was gripping to Sesshomaru's sleeve in a horrified state. He could feel her nerves and see the shocked look on her face that made him turn away from her. The pain on her face was unbearable.

"Kikyo, darling. Back soon?" Sesshomaru greeted, trying to block Kagome's view while Kikyo and Inuyasha fought each other with the sheets to cover their naked bodies.

"Sesshomaru what the hell…" Inuyasha shouted then stopped when he saw Kagome. "No, no, no, no…babe, I…I can explain."

Inuyasha rushed over to her but Sesshomaru blocked him. Inuyasha then moved to the opposite side to move around him but Sesshomaru wouldn't let him get near Kagome.

"I…I was, I know this looks…" Inuyasha stammered, getting annoyed that Sesshomaru was blocking Kagome.

"Exactly like what it is?" Sesshomaru said, nonchalantly. An amused grin taking over his face.

After a second, Kagome turned around slowly, stunned mute, floating out of the room in a trance. Inuyasha finally pushed passed Sesshomaru and grabbed at Kagome's shoulders.

"I know this looks bad…I wanted to tell you but-"

Tears rolled down her cheek as she seethed, sobbing uncontrollably as she punched his chest. Words formed at her mouth but between the sobs, no one understood what she was saying. She glared at the deceitful Hanyou and punched him in the chest again.

"WHY!" she wailed. "WHY!"

"I…don't know." Inuyasha whimpered, a wave of tears falling relentlessly down his face. Shaking his head, he sheepishly looked at her and dropped his head. "I don't know."

"Was I not enough? I gave you everything! I was always behind you! How long has this been going on?" Kagome growled.

Sesshomaru watched Kagome and Inuyasha for a moment then turned to Kikyo. He shot a derisive grin that made her grit her teeth.

"You don't even give a shit, do you!" Kikyo cried. "Get the hell out of here."

Sesshomaru turned to leave and paused at the doorway waiting for Kagome.

Kagome's knees were giving in and she leaned on the wall before collapsing to the floor.

"Kagome, I'm so sorry. It was an accident. None of this was planned. You gotta believe me!" Inuyasha pleaded as he knelt to be eye level with her.

"It was an accident to be here in the same bed as my sister?" Kagome rubbed her temples and sniffled. She noticed Inuyasha's tan lines and began to sob more. " It was an accident to go to Hawaii together? That sounds like it was planned to me!" Kagome slapped him in the face. "Was it an accident when you mounted her and decided to fuck her?" Kagome stood up and pushed him. "I hate you..." she spat. "I hate you!" She took one last look at Kikyo who looked away and then looked at Inuyasha. "She fooled you, Inuyasha.." Kagome laughed as she sniffed. "Just wait and see..." she walked out of the apartment not taking her eyes off of him. Sesshomaru followed right behind her.

"Kagome…please, wait. Don't leave like this." he shouted from the doorway before she got into the elevator with Sesshomaru.

When they got out, Myoga was sitting at his desk, his face showing great remorse. He met eyes with Kagome and Sesshomaru for a moment before bowing his head in shame.

"Was it that obvious, Myoga?" she asked, tears falling one after the other.

He didn't know what to say and shook his head. She blinked away her tears as she and Sesshomaru walked out of the apartment building. Kagome looked at Sesshomaru, her eyes stinging with more tears as they fell down her face. He didn't say anything, but she could see the pity in his face. He felt bad for her. He parted his mouth to say something then thought against it. He watched her walk into her car and he got into his. Thunder crackled throughout the sky and rain befell them in a ferocious manner. He watched Kagome for a moment through his rearview mirror. She was sobbing against her steering wheel, hitting her palms against it. He started the car but couldn't bring himself to drive away just yet.

Kagome wiped her face and continued to sniff, trying to collect herself and summon enough strength to stop crying. After a few minutes, she contained herself and tried to turn on her car. But the car clicked and wheezed and would die each time. She turned the key in the ignition and tried several more times but the car wouldn't turn on. She gave up, got out of the car and started walking through the rain.

Sesshomaru looked over his shoulder seeing Kagome leave her car and walk ahead through the rain, getting drenched. He reached for his umbrella, got out of his car and opened his umbrella as he sprinted toward her.

"Come on. I'll drive you home." He said, gripping her shoulder to stop walking.

"No, I'll walk." She said, hoarsely. "Thanks."

"You're not walking." He glowered. "It's raining and I know the neighborhood you moved to, it's not safe for a female to walk at this time."

"I really…want to be left alone." She begged, looking up at him. Her eyes were puffy, strained and hurt. It pained him to see her like this, she was usually happy.

"Great, me too." He said. "After I take you home."

"I…"

"Please stop fighting me, you won't win." He said, pulling her arm and walking back to his car. "You pathetic humans don't fair well in the elements."

"Yeah, that's really going to convince me now." She rolled her eyes. He walked her over to the passenger side and held the umbrella over her head. She got in and glared at him.

He sighed. "You are idiotic if you value nothing just because of that half breed. You'll soon see-"

"See what?" Kagome glowered as he closed her door and got into the driver's side.

"That he wasn't worth it to be sulking like the world has come to an end."

"Is this your attempt at cheering me up? Because you suck at it." she gazed angrily at him.

"Who said I was cheering you up? I was clearly giving you a reality check." he muttered.

"Thanks." Kagome scoffed. "I'm sorry I am affected by walking in on my boyfriend of five years having sex with my twin sister. Not all of us are heartless robots like you."

"Heartless?" he said and shook his head. Why was he even trying to help? He was not making anything better. If anything, he was getting her more furious.

"How can you be so calm?" her voice wavered. She locked her gaze with his. She could tell her comment got to him. "You don't seem like you even care."

"Expectation is the root of all heartache. Shakespeare." He sighed. "No expectations, no heartaches."

"That's not a way to live." She scoffed.

"It is my way." He said, driving carefully down the roads on the way to her house.

"You really thought Kikyo was being dishonest this whole time?"

"Yes."

"And you didn't do anything about it?"

"It was the least of my priorities." He said.

"But…Inuyasha's your brother, don't you feel betrayed?"

"Half-brother." he corrected, the muscles in his jaw clenched.

"Whatever, I cannot comprehend how your brother slept with your girlfriend and you're not affected at all!" she exclaimed.

"Then don't try to comprehend it." Sesshomaru hissed. "Sharing the same DNA code doesn't constitute the inability to deceive one another."

"but he is your brother! Brothers...and sisters.." she bit her lip. "don't do that...they're not supposed to!" she turned around again.

"Says who, Kagome? Where did you read this? "he spat and glared at her sideways. "Is there a rule book on the sibling do's and don't's?"

"You're not funny." she scoffed. " It's an unspoken rule that decent people live by." she rolled her eyes.

" Ah yes, of course. The unspoken rule." he mocked.

Why was he even talking? He should just shut his mouth and take her home. Leave her to be and not deal with her foolish perspectives. Sesshomaru didn't say another word and just drove the whole way in silence, pondering about what had just happened. He wasn't going to admit that he'd been had or that he was affected by it. He had expected Kikyo to be unfaithful, but he was taken by surprise that it was with Inuyasha. He shrugged it off and turned on the radio. Silence never bothered him but with Kagome in the car, he couldn't bear it for the moment. He flinched as he heard Inuyasha's stupid song and looked at Kagome who looked at the radio and gasped. Sesshomaru immediately reached over to change it but was stopped by Kagome's cold hands.

"Leave it…please." her voice cracked. She suppressed her sobs as she listened to the lyrics.

Sesshomaru sighed, leaned back into his chair and shook his head as he was forced to listen to this crap.

I'm lying, I'm dying inside!
Don't forsake me, death, just take me
only you can stop me now..
The flower wilted long ago
I came alive when got pricked by that rose

Through my smiles I know
I've taken yours away
My heart leads me into
the path..the path of betrayal..

Living deception
is the life I'm leading now..
someone please save me,
I can't stop I don't know how!

Sesshomaru scoffed, what garbage. He watched as Kagome gaped out the window in disbelief.

"He's..." she gulped. "H-he's been doing this for a while...Oh my god..." she began to sob. "I feel so stupid!"

She lowered her head and threw her arms over her head. "I was singing along to this..."

Sesshomaru stopped in front of her apartment and Kagome opened the car door before he finished parking the car. She ran towards her building without saying goodbye. He sighed and looked at himself in the rearview mirror. Just go, you fool. This is none of your concern. He kept telling himself to leave but his body just wouldn't comply.

"I can't believe I'm doing this…" he grumbled to himself as he got out of the car and followed her.
