You Stay A Little While

Sitting there, alone in her apartment with a glass of wine in her hand, Lisa Reisert started blankly at the coffee table. Her manicured fingernails drummed against her leg as she sipped her drink.

'What was that line…?'

Leaning back against the couch, propping her elbow onto the arm while resting her chin in the palm of her hand, Lisa looked as though she was going to break. Her skin was pale, her eyes clearly showing her lack of sleep. Bringing the glass to her lips, she closed her eyes.

In her mind, his face flashed in her mind.

Pulling the drink away while biting her lip, she shook her head furiously.

'Nonononono! This is ridiculous! Get a hold of yourself Lisa!'

Downing what was left from her glass, she pulled herself up off of the couch. Swaying some, she gripped the couch for supporting while the glass slipped from her fingertips. The sound of the glass shattering rang in her mind but she paid no mind to it. Instead, she managed to drag her drunken-body from the living room to her small bedroom where she let herself fall into the welcoming blankets of her bed. In the living room she had left behind not only the shatter wine glass but also a nearly finished bottle of White Ridge.

Clinging to the pillow, she held it close as she buried her face in it. Eyes shut tight, she felt her body convulse as tears began to stream down her face. She was shaking violently; trying to choke back her robs.

'Stop it! I can't believe I'm thinking this! It's just not right!'

Fingers clinging to the pillow, she bit down into it to continue her futile efforts to dampen her sobs.

'It can't be! It just can't be!'

On the floor by her door was a newspaper, the front page unfolded.

'This is insane! I can't be…I can't be feeling this! I should be happy this is happening!'

Rippner Given Life Sentence

'STOP IT LISA! YOU DON'T! YOU CAN'T!'

He beenso kind before it happened…handsome…

'He's a twisted sunnuva bitch!'

There was that moment…. His hesitation when he saw her scar…his tone…

'This is wrong!'

'Perhaps I didn't always love him as well as I do now, but in such cases as these a good memory is unpardonable.'

..That was it.

Anyway, I had to get this out of my system. I wanted to do at least one sappy one so that I can concentrate on Commit Your Crime better. Expect chpater two for that story within the next day or so. D
