Scully leaned on the doorjam of the office, frowning. "Mulder," she said, "we finished our last case three days ago. It's Sunday, not to mention Easter. Why are you here?"
He peered at her over the rim of his glasses then pushed his chair back, templing his fingers. "I think the question really is, what are you doing here?"
"It's gorgeous out there, Mulder, and I figured you needed to get out in it." Scully waved a hand. "You know. In the sun. With people." She reached into the straw bag hanging from her shoulder and brought out a slender tube of plastic, something bright red and blue inside of it. Her grin mischievious, she said, "Here."
Mulder caught the tube, his eyebrows reaching for his hairline as he read the contents. "You got me a Spider-Man kite?"
Scully sucked on the inside of her cheek and folded her arms. "Batman was too obvious."
Shooting her a look at her deadpan tone, Mulder caught sight of her other purchase. "Marshmallow Peeps, Scully?"
"These are mine, Mulder," she said, hand hovering protectively over the bag.
Mulder grinned, tugging open a desk drawer so Scully could see his own candy stash. "I'd have figured you for a Cadbury Egg woman, myself."
