"A Grave so Cold"
The water doth churn today, my love,
and a few small drops of rain.
I never had but one true love.
In cold blood we were slain.
I slaved till death for my true love,
as any young man may.
I lay and mourn within my grave,
for countless moon's and days.
And still I have not found my love,
within this darkening state.
The gloom that settles inside my tomb
has left me dead awake.
So heavily my heart doth sit,
like cobwebs on the door.
I pray to know your loving hands,
to love me like once before.
My life has withered dry,
and though my heart decays,
I'll follow you into eternity, my love,
by your side I will always stay.
