A Road Untraveled
Sometimes the blind can indeed lead the blind.

Not for them the sweetness of quiet, unhurried courtship. Not for them the delicate dreams for a shared future. Not for them the warmth of a circle of friends and family, lovingly watching their burgeoning love, offering connection, and roots, and community.

They create their path as they go: no faint footstep ahead of them in the dark, no wise guide but their twin battered hearts, no promise but that of their bruised souls, each carrying its own precocious burden as they share their lingering pain and strive toward the hopeful light.

It is enough; they will make it enough.
