i want to line the pieces up

"You're just a nobody, you know," mumbled Axel. He was bored, tired, and feeling a little defeated. That stupid, brown-haired kid… well, let's just say that Axel underestimated him. He had gone to sit with Naminé, in her little perch in the Castle Oblivion. While he talked, she just sat there, smiling and sketching. That's all that she ever did.

Axel scoffed when she didn't respond. "It's all your fault."

"You're a nobody as well, Axel."

"So? Your point? At least I don't stay in one place all of the time." Axel liked to do this, Naminé observed. When he was in a horrible mood, he tried to put down other people to make himself feel better. He was so childish.

yours and mine

"I'm alright with that," Naminé said softly. Axel rolled his eyes.

"You're so wrapped up in yourself, you don't even understand what's going to happen, do you?" said the red-head. Naminé shook her head.

"It's an adventure," she said, perfecting the odd quality to Sora's hair with her pencil.

"You're not in the damn adventure, though, stupid," muttered Axel, laying out on his back. The room was so incredibly white. "You're just living it through him." He said that with such resent, Naminé nearly flinched. She didn't show it, though.

"That's right. We're both just shadows," said Naminé, in a very matter-of-fact tone. Axel huffed, and threw his arm over his face. "We're copies, and that's all."

a scattered dream that's like a far off memory

"Hm. That's true," mumbled Axel, "but you don't need to rub it in my face." Naminé giggled, finishing one of her many sketches of Sora. It was a scene, from a beach that she didn't know, and she and Sora were talking. Just talking, nothing more.

a far off memory that's like a scattered dream

"That's who we are! The Nobodies!" said Naminé, closing her eyes and attempting to hold back tears. It was hard enough to remember something that didn't exist, but to have him believe it did… was unbearable.

"Yep, the Nobodies," replied Axel, sighing.
