Dear Diary,

I cannot believe what has just happened! It finally happened- if you don't count the fake out make outs that is. Me and Danny FINALLY KISSED!

It happened during our homecoming dance for sophomore year. God it was wonderful!

First off, I finally plucked up the courage to ask him- after I was sure Paulina was out of the picture: Gag. I really don't see what he does. I think that it's what I can see that he sees. Pervert.

Anyway he said yes. I was so excited. I got a new dress (though I really did love the dress I had for that last dance I went to. I thought it was kind of lame, but Danny said I had a 'roaring good time.' Pretty lame, I know.)

My new dress was gorgeous. It was a long, silk violet, with a thin, black mesh layer covering from the bottom of the bust line to just above the bottom of the dress. It had a long slit in the front- the mesh, not the dress. It also had black flower brocade above the bust. It was just beautiful.

As I was getting ready, my doorbell rang. I was so nervous! Danny was here now! I hurried the rest of my things on, and walked down the steps. The look on his face was priceless. It was as though all the warmth had jumped into his eyes.

And so we were off. When asked about how we were going to get there, he told me we'd take the scenic route. I had no idea what this meant until I was about 500 feet in the air, his arms around me. I love it when I get to fly with him. Such a feeling of liberation. Of freedom. Of danger. One slip, and he could drop me. He never does.

Well the dance was kind of a dud. All they played was hip-hop and rap, and although with some exceptions, I really don't care for that kind of music.

Danny asked me if I wanted to leave, go somewhere more fun.

"Who wouldn't?"

We left the party half way through, and I was so grateful just to get out of there. He took me flying again. Woot!

He took me to Amityville Park, were we had our fake out make out.

"I heard there was going to be a comet out tonight."

I looked at him confused. Why?

Suddenly a slight crackling sound was heard. I looked up and there it was: a comet.

"What comet is it?"

"I don't know, but hurry and make a wish Sam!"

I nodded and closed my eyes. I wished for the one thing I always wish for: for Danny to notice me the way he notices Paulina, for him to feel attracted to me. Scratch that last part, love me. Foolish, I know. You can't have someone love you merely by wishing, yet I still wished. Shows how foolish humans are.

Anyway, after I made my wish I looked at Danny. His eyes were still closed, as he was wishing. It was rather adorable: his eyes closed tightly, a goofy smile on his lips. He hadn't bothered to change back into Danny Fenton, so it was slightly comical.

Before I know it, he opens his eyes and is right in my face. We languidly close our eyes, and our lips touch. He then kisses me, open mouth. I could taste him. Not Danny Fenton, but Danny Phantom. How different the two were.

Fenton was warm, and shy. His essence was of compassion. Unfortunately, when I kissed him he had just had a meat sandwich. Yuck.

Phantom was cold, and the embodied form of strength and bravery. No sandwich. Just Phantom. He made me feel this tingling cold sensation all throughout my body, yet it wasn't uncomfortable at all, but rather welcomed.

As we parted, I asked him why.

"I wanted my wish to come true."

I was so happy I kissed him again. My wish came true too.

Sincerely yours,

Sam Manson
