Cerulean wings against the midnight sky
As they flutter, with my freedom they fly

Wings of a butterfly against the moon
Our love came to and end far too soon
On this piano I play my sad tune

For this I toss and turn in restless sleep

Illumined now in a moonlit flood
On the ground mingled with mud
Painfullly shed are tears of blood

This is the poem I entered in the Corpse Bride poetry contest. I didn't win, but I was that much closer than I'd ever been to having Tim Burton see my work, so...
