Summary: Hera sits in her garden, and dreams.

Imperfection.

She sits in her garden, among the sweet-smelling flowers, and she dreams. She dreams of her future. She dreams of a family. She wants a husband; a perfect god, who will love her unconditionally. She knows she will get this; she is a daughter of Kronos. A princess. Beautiful. She is Hera, goddess of marriage, protectoress of women. She is perfection. She wants a perfect husband, and perfect children. She wants a perfect family. She is naïve; too young to understand. She grows up and has her family. She sits in her garden, among the sweet-smelling flowers, and she dreams.

She dreams of death.

A/N: Just a short little drabble, that came to mind after being given the prompt word 'family', and being asked to choose a Greek God to write something about. Naturally, I chose Hera, who is my favourite of all the Greek pantheon, and deserves many more fanfictions dedicated to her. The idea of Hera's sadness and feelings towards her life and her immortality came from a Greek Gods RP, where I play Hera. I figured that one doesn't get raped by Zeus, made to marry him, and forced to put up with his constant adultery, and live in a carefree manner. Also, I wanted you all to feel sympathy for her, as I really despise the classic jealous portrayal of Hera. That's about it, really. I hope you enjoyed this, and if you did, please read and review, and you'd make my day. Thanks for reading!
