Like a Little Sister
Disclaimer: Neither Danny Phantom nor Lilo and Stitch belong to me.
Summary: While on a Hawaiian vacation, Danny worries that he will lose Danielle forever if she uses too much power. But Lilo offers a way for Danielle to never worry about fading away again. One-shot
It had been a month since Mom and Dad took Danielle in. I would always watch over her. When I look back on those times, the way I acted reminded me of Jazz. We went on a Hawaiian vacation over Spring Break and I had never seen Dani more excited. Mom and Dad rented out Jumba and Pleakley's' Bed and Not Breakfast. Dani and I spent a lot of time together. She was like a little sister to me and at night, as I lay in bed, I would worry her melting away. It was devastating. I loved her like a sister.
As I lay in bed that night, I thought about how we had spent the day. We raced one another in ghost form. Dani beat me this time. It never ceases to amaze me how much she can do without using too much energy. Then the terrible thought came to me. The day I would lose Dani forever. I felt tears on my face, but wiped them away quickly.
"Psst!" a voice called. Thinking it was Dani; I quickly regained my composure.
"I hope you're not-" the figure came out of the shadows. It was Lilo, the niece of the people who ran the place.
"What?" I asked. Lilo smiled. Her odd blue dog, Stitch gave a matching grin, which looked creepy on him.
"I know about you and Dani, and I think I can help you" she said. I started to talk, but she shushed me. I followed her and Stitch into a room, where Dani stood, along with Jumba and Pleakley, only Pleakley wasn't wearing the wig and Jumba had ditched the mustache and sunglasses.
"Hi, cuz! Guess what, Lilo knows how to make me never go away!" Danny said.
"Let me explain, Jumba and Pleakley aren't my Aunt and Uncle. They're aliens. Jumba is a former evil genius and Stitch is one of his creations. Dani told Jumba about her problem and he knows how to fix it." Lilo explained, "All we need is something from you, like a piece of hair"
"No tricks" I asked looking up at Jumba and Pleakley.
"Nope" Lilo answered.
"Negative" Jumba agreed. I agreed and we started. Jumba used an alien chemical thing and eventually, all we needed was my hair. I confidently pulled it out and gave to the evil genius himself. When the process was all done, I held my breath as Dani walked. Suddenly she disappeared and I felt something weird inside me. I felt myself turn ghost.
"Hey cuz" a voice inside me said. It was Dani! She reappeared in front of me, giggling at her joke.
"And she can never be destabilizing because of overusage of power use" Jumba said.
"Huh?" I asked. Everyone laughed, including me.
"She's not just a clone anymore, she's a real person" Pleakley translated.
"She was always a real person" Lilo said, "A person, with…a health problem" Dani was elatedly fling around. Before I could control myself, I felt tears going down my face and I did the thing any big brother would do, I hugged her.
When we left Hawaii, I thanked Jumba and Pleakley so many times that they could predict what I was about to say. Lilo and Dani became pen pals. In the fall, Dani would be starting seventh grade at Amity Park Middle School.
