I struggled to keep a steady stance. I knocked on their door.
After long, sleepless nights of trying to figure out when and how I'm supposed to do it, I came to a conclusion that it has to be at this moment; a decision I made about two seconds ago. I just really have to do this now, before I leave.
Possibly, and hopefully not, this wouldn't be the first and last time he will be doing this.
Someone opened the door, and luckily, it was Hinata. Just the person I needed to see.
"K-Kiba-kun…W-what are you d-doing here?" her eyes had the slightest amount of fear in them, I could see. "I-is there something wrong?"
Since me and Hinata have been dating for months now, it's just really normal for her to worry…
I just really wish I could say: Well, I'm just going off to find that Uchiha dude that isn't even that close to me, but I still have to find him because the Hokage says so, and now may be the last time I'm ever going to see you again….
"No," …but there's really no need to worry her.
"W-well…is there something y-you want to say?" the concern flushed out of her eyes. She noticed that I was there for nothing really important.
I love you?
"No," I just stood there, still giving her the wrong answers.
"Would you want to train again?" her eyebrows lifted, still unknowing of what I was about to do.
Sorry…don't have time.
"No," I shook my head, and finally brought myself to breathe out.
"Wh-what is it, then?" she tilted her head to the side in the cutest way.
"I'm…uh…going off to find Uchiha Sasuke…" I stuttered on every word.
"Oh, well…uhm…g-good luck!" she forced a smile. I could see that there was hurt in her eyes. The worry came back to her. She brought her fingers together again then bowed her head.
"Hinata," I called her name. I just really have to do it…NOW.
As she looked up, my lips met hers, just for a split second. We quickly pulled away.
"Um…" I was lost for words, still not believing I did it.
Her mouth fell half-open. She brought her to the side of her lips, at the exact place where our lips touched. For a minute, there, I thought that was a smile curved at the side of her lips.
We stared at each other for a minute, and then I just shook it away.
"I…uh…have to…um…go now…" I pointed my thumb to my back. "Um…s-see you
I turned away with a contented smile on my face. Piece of cake. As simple as that.
