Disclaimer: I own nothing…

Just a short Faye drabble I made up off the top of my head. Hope you enjoy.

We spent the whole day chasing that guy all around town, and by the time we caught him, it was just our luck that his bounty had been dropped the day before. What a waste. We had Ms. Ed to thank for that, she got her intel wrong. That night after I took my bath and changed into my pajamas, I was hungry so I went out for a midnight snack. Spike was there. He was in his boxers and when I got to the kitchen, or at least the room with the food, I saw him rummaging through the fridge.

"Hey," I called. He turned around dumbly. "Save some for the rest of us. And for God's sake, put some pants on."

He just turned around and looked for more food. "If it bothers you that much don't look at it."

"I'm hungry" I demanded. "I came out to get food." He abruptly tossed me an apple which I fumbled to catch. "Something else…" I added crossly.

"Eat it. It's good for you." He finally came out from the fridge holding three chocolate pudding cups, two Twinkies, a can of Pepsi, and two cups of fried rice he got from the cupboard.

"All right, all right, I'll share." He went to the table and set down the food. I sat down, put down the apple, and picked up a pudding cup. Spike immediately delved into the rice. As I took off the top to the cup I stated, "Was today exhausting or what?"

Spike grunted through a mouthful of rice. "Do you know how many patio tables I knocked over and fruit stands I tripped on chasing that guy all through downtown. He's a fast little bitch, I'll give him that."

I nodded. "Jet and I were playing hide-and-seek with him at the airport. We followed him all the way from Gate 1 to Gate 153. And still!"

"Ed says she has another bounty for us." He finished the rice and picked up one of the Twinkies.

I sighed. "I hope it's legit." I finished off the pudding about the same time he swallowed the last of the Twinkie.

"You got some chocolate on your face there." He took his finger and wiped a spot under my lip. "Did I say you could touch me?" I joked.

"I'll touch you all I want."

I'm still not sure what happened next but before I knew it we locked lips. He wrapped his arm around me as I leaned against his body. Then suddenly he stood up. "I, I'm not so hungry anymore. I'ma go to bed now." He walked away.

I stood up, my knees shaking. "Wait, Spike!"

He turned around. "Yeah?"

"I…" My lips trembled, screaming to say three words that I don't remember saying to anyone ever before. "I'll see you tomorrow."

He nodded. "Yeah… good night." And he walked away.

One month later, Jet and I watched it on the news from the Bebop. Spike was dead. He went with Julia. She dragged him back into her stupid pathetic life and he followed her like a dog, the mindless dumb-struck dog he is. I saw it with my very own eyes, the last breath he took, the moment he fell to the ground and became no more. To this day from that moment on, my biggest regret in life is never telling Spike how I felt. I never got to guts to say, "Spike Spiegel, I love you." Maybe if I had, he would have stayed. And I'll never find out if he loved me too.

Well that's it, hope you liked it. By the way, for anyone who's interested, I have restarted Solution 00001 and this time I'll finish it before I post the first chapter.
