Summary: He's not jealous.

The Doctor leant against the wall of the TARDIS waiting and watching. Rose had managed, yet again, to find herself an admirer. They had been 'chatting' for what felt like an eternity now.

He wasn't jealous.

There was no need to be.

There was a time not so long ago when he would have been seething by this point.

But not anymore.

It wasn't that the boy wasn't "a bit pretty", as he'd once termed it, he was. But then again, he thought with a grin, so was he.

Still, even if prettiness didn't come into it (and with Rose Tyler, it quite often did) he had come to realise that he had nothing to fear.

She had come back for him. She had risked her life, absorbed the Vortex, all for him. She had called him hers and he had sealed it with a kiss. He had changed, regenerated; the ultimate test and they had passed. She had stayed and he had been accepted, truly accepted by her. In fact, he thought a little smugly, she stayed by his side now more than ever.

He wasn't jealous because he had no reason to be.

He straightened and, armed with his best smile, he wandered over to the happy couple. Neatly inserting himself between them, his fingers seeking and entwining with hers, "I'm the Doctor by the way, nice to meet you."

...best to make sure.
