Short silly humour oneshot. Set after the game at a funfair somewhere, Lloyd and Colette pairing.
Dedication: thanks to the Sheelos Sisters who gave me the plot bunny for this fic.
Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia. Namco own it I believe.
Lloyd grinned sheepishly as the weight of an extremely large plush toy dog was placed on his shoulders and back. He wasn't sure whose emotion showed more clearly on their face, his own embarrassment and slight humiliation, the stallkeeper's shock that someone had actually won the top prize or Colette's sheer delight.
He'd spotted the stall before she had and had tried to steer her away from it but he should have known that her instincts for finding cute dogs with fluffy tails, which apparently included the plush toy variety, were so strong that she'd spot it despite his best efforts to attract her attention away from it.
It wasn't so much the fact that he'd not been the one who had won the toy for her that embarrassed him, although he admitted to himself that he would have liked to have been the person who had won the toy for Colette, despite how corny it might seem. No, what was embarrassing was the ease with which she'd won the top prize in the game that others seemed to be having difficulty winning even small prizes on. But then, having seen her battle so many times on their travels, he should have guessed that Colette would be good at hoopla.
