1Disclaimer: I do not own Remus or Sirius... (please insert something clever because I do not feel like thinking of something)

Summary: Remus has a nightmare and is comforted by Sirius.

AN: This is a short little oneshot involving Sirius and Remus. It's just about one encounter involving the two. I'm not sure if I want to do anything else with it but it's going to be staying as it is for now. Maybe I'll write more someday... Please review and tell me what you think!

I'll Never Go Away

Remus sat against the cool brick wall and gazed at the starry sky above him. He closed his amber eyes tightly, desperately trying to forget. His breath caught and he gasped. A single tear rolled down his cheek, slipping past the smooth white scar across his cheek.

"Remus?" whispered a low voice.

Remus looked up startled, furiously wiping his clouded eyes.

"Go away, Sirius."

"No," Sirius said stubbornly. "I'll never go away."

Sirius plopped down beside Remus and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. The werewolf shook it off, wrapping his arms around himself. He buried his face in his arms and started to sob. The cries were violently ripped from his chest as he heaved his heart out. Sirius cautiously gathered Remus into his strong arms and held him.

"Shh," Sirius hushed. "It's all right."

"I-I am s-so s-s-sorry," Remus stuttered though gasps.

"Remus," Sirius whispered, lifting the boy's chin with his finger. He gazed into Remus' eyes and wiped the tears from his cheeks. Then, he traced the outline of the scar that traveled from the boy's lip to his eye.

Remus stared at Sirius with questioning eyes.

"What are you doing, Sirius?"

"You are really beautiful, you know."

Sirius tilted his head to the side and smiled.

"You're beautiful, Moony."

Remus turned away, breathing quickly.

"That's a lie."

"I wouldn't lie to you," Sirius whispered.

They sat in silence for a while. Each one was trapped in his own world.

"What are you doing out here?" Sirius asked, focusing on the glittering sky.

"I had a nightmare."

"What happened?"

"I was controlled by the wolf and I was running through the forest..."

Remus stopped and looked at Sirius.

"And I hurt someone... someone I love," Remus finished.

"Who was it?" Sirius asked.

Remus bit his lower lip.

"It was... it was you."

Sirius' eyes widened in shock.

"It's always been you."

Remus looked up at Sirius nervously. He tentatively reached out, tucking a loose stand of hair behind Sirius' ear.

That was too much for Sirius to take. He grasped the back of Remus' neck and pulled the boy to him. Their lips barely brushed but the little contact still sent shivered through each boy. Remus hesitantly wrapped his arms around Sirius' waist, pulling his closer. Sirius smiled and nibbled on the other boy's lower lip. Then, Sirius slowly pulled away.

"Don't worry, Moony. I'll never go away. No matter what happens, I'll always be here for you."
