Disclaimer: I don't own Riku, Naminé, and/or Kingdom Hearts. If I did, Naminé and Roxas wouldn't have to be Nobodies!

Riku was not someone who liked watching sunsets. It wasn't that he hated them, he just...didn't like them. So how, exactly, did he wind up on the beach, sitting on a blanket with Naminé as the sun began to set?

'And I thought Kairi had Sora whipped...' He thought as the breeze passed through his silver hair. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see his captor--this fragile-looking, seemingly innocent blonde girl who was currently sitting down next to him.

"Remind me again: why am I here?" Riku asked Naminé.

She turned her head to look at him. "Because I don't want to be alone. Roxas is doing something with Pence and Hayner; Kairi, Olette, and Selphie went to see that new movie that came out, and Sora's at work. So that leaves you." She tilted her head to the side slightly. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh...I just want a good excuse--just in case your brother thinks I tried to do something with you." Naminé's older brother, Cloud, was totally overprotective of his little sister when it came to boys. And for some odd reason, he just didn't like hoe Riku looked. Said he looked like someone he didn't like.

"Well, don't worry. If Cloud tries anything to hurt you, he'll have to deal with me." She giggled to herself as the white-haired teen beside her groaned. The blonde gave a pout and pinched his arm.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"Pay attention! The sun's starting to set." Naminé said, looking at the setting sun. The sight was breath taking--the sight of the sun going down on the ocean horizon was just beautiful. At least to Naminé it was. Riku was busy looking at her to notice.

After the sun had finished set and sky turned dark, the blonde girl turned her head to look at Riku. "Didn't that look so beautiful, Riku?" She thought for a moment that he was looking at her. When she blinked, he was looking out at the sea.

"...Yeah. It was."

She started to smile and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. "Thanks for being with me, Riku." Naminé got up to leave, but the young man held her arm. "Huh?"

"Hey..." He looked up at her, green eyes looking into blue. "Let's do this again tomorrow, okay?"

Naminé blinked, staring at him. "O... Okay. But I thought you hated this."

Riku started to smirk. "Well, let's just say I'm starting to like sunsets..."

Blu: That's it! I hope you enjoyed this fluffy Namiku fic. I did this when I was bored, so…that's why it's like this.
