I have written this as a challenge from Vero on the yahoo group, but I'm not completely sure that this it what was expected. I will try to come up with something better if I write in this fandom again. I'm sorry if it's not that good or if I haven't even met the demands of the challenge. The challenge is at the end of the story.

Kate was walking down the corridor lost in thoughts on how she should give her surprise present to Abby. She wasn't really sure if she was being silly or not, but she hadn't been able to help herself when she saw the tickets for sale. They had only been together for 3 months, but Kate was already in deep – she was falling in love with the goth, however strange that sounded. She had never thought that she would fall in love with a woman. Be attracted to one, yes. Fall in love with one, no definitely not – she was the good catholic girl. But something about Abby had just drawn her in, she couldn't quite explain it, but she had to find a good explanation soon if she wanted to introduce her to her parents. Suddenly she collided with another person coming around the corner.

"Whoa there, Ricky Martin." She said to Tony as she saw who it was. "Did Gibbs catch you sleeping again?"

"Ricky Martin?" Tony looked at her. "Come on Kate, that was just mean!" He paused. "And no, Gibbs did not catch me sleeping, I'm just in a hurry."

"What's with the floribunda, Tony?" Abby asked, walking up to them and interrupting.

"The what?" Tony looked at her, clueless.

"The rose you're holding." She said, pointing.

"Oh." He looked down at it. "It's for a date tonight."

"You buy a date a plant and you don't know what it's called?" Kate asked, amused. "Nice one Tony."

"Well, she said she loved roses, but only in nature, so I figured I'd buy her this so she can plant it." He explained.

"Oh, that's sweet Tony." Abby said as Kate just rolled her eyes at him. "Where are you taking her?"

"I have tickets for a Placebo concert tonight." Tony sounded pleased with himself.

Kate just looked at him, not believing her bad luck.

"I'm so jealous, Tony! I love Placebo!" Abby punched him playfully on the shoulder. "What are we doing tonight, Kate?" She asked expectantly.

"Oh, how sweet." Tony teased. "Abby and Kate are going to have a girls' night out."

"Yes Tony, we are." Kate smiled sweetly. "And we're going to the Placebo concert too."

"Well, maybe you'll get lucky at the concert, Kate." Tony laughed.

Kate didn't have time to answer as Abby pulled her into a bone crushing hug.

"Really?" She pulled back to look at Kate without letting go of her. "You bought Placebo tickets?"

"Yes." Kate nodded with a smile, she couldn't help but let Abby's joy infect her.

"Yay!" Abby hugged her again, and Kate couldn't help but think how well they fitted together.

"That's how I like to see two girls." Tony said nodding. "Ouch!" He almost dropped the plant in his hand as he was punched by both Abby and Kate.

"Go live in an igloo, Tony." Kate threw over her shoulder as they left him.

"An igloo?" Abby asked questioningly as they stood in the elevator.

"Yes, then we'll be sure that he's far away from here." Kate laughed.
