Title: Borderline

By: Serena

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be truly alive,
To be normal again and live my life like I've
Hoped and dreamed I could live again,
To hang out with my friends and not worry then
About ghosts and danger that I'm so accustomed to,
But that will never happen.
That dream is through.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be truly dead,
To live my life as a ghost and maybe instead
Of fighting other ghosts and disappointing my family,
I could just live alone and not have a care in the world,
Oh, wouldn't that be heavenly!

But I know that will never happen for me,
My loved ones need protection,
That much I can see.

I want so many things that can never come true,
But it doesn't bother me as much since I can now see through
The hardships and the turmoil and the pain and the tears,
To see the reason I exist,
To drive back the fears.

I live on the Borderline it is said,
Never truly alive yet never truly dead.

Serena: This one is strange to me, but I like it for some reason. Hope someone enjoyed it.
