Disclaimer: I own nothing of Twilight. All brilliance belongs respectively to Stephenie Meyer. (-pouts- But I want Edward...)
A/N: Omg! I can't believe it! I'm not dead! Sorry it took me a long time to post anything again...I'm really lazy (in case you haven't noticed...haha).
But yeah. My idea for this stemmed from the recurring references to Romeo and Juliet concerning Edward and Bella's relationship. Keeping in mind that I'm not the greatest poet (but let me tell you, people: rhyming dictionaries are a gift from the gods!), I wanted to at least attempt to write a prologue especially for everyone's favorite couple. ;) So, I did and...IT WORKED! I'm pretty proud of it, actually. I worked in stuff in from mostly Twilight, with a little New Moon in there as well--WAIT, though! In case you're worried, there is NO New Moon plot spoiler in here, just a tiny reference to a single line in it (which I didn't write and am not claiming ownership of, in case there are any lawyers out there waitin' to sue).
So...yeah. I really hope you guys enjoy it!
Be sure to review!
In the Beginning...
From completely different worlds, two lovers meet
In the downpour of Forks, where secrets hide,
And find their souls now complete
And in each other can confide
Secrets entrusted to no one else,
One, self-exiled for someone adored,
The other, without a pulse,
Bound together in a way impossibly restored.
First love, a floodlight concealing their starry worlds of rationality
And creating a match widely found uncouth
Left these lovers divided by their mortality
But unable to deny their destined truth.
So, you with patience and attentive eyes,
Witness the tale of their blinded skies.
A/N: So...what did you think? Like it? Not? (please leave any criticism to be the constructive type!) I have other poems I wanna post sometime, as well, but they probably will be on a separate story...thing... (bah. ;) I'm computer lame.) But...just keep an eye out for more!
Alrightie then...well...Please leave a review (PLEASE! That little purple button is begging you!), and no worries if you're not a member--you can review me, too!
So...uh... -tries to think of something else to say- ...Have a nice day?
