Gazing into
Narcissus'
Dirty pool,
Hatchet face
To hatchet face,
Loathing what
You see:
Two dispossessed
Demons
Dancing the dance
Of Hate
Legs wide
Her face, an echo-
Your hips stab
Away at your
Double,
Upon the table
Of your shared
Almost-father.

Perfumed
By whiskey
She claws
Your back
As you nail
Her to the table-
Punishing
Each other
For shared sins:
Hope,
Vulnerability,
Lonliness,
Until you and your
Mirror-sister
Come
Together
In hollow
Satisfaction.

Flagellation
Complete,
You buckle up,
She adjusts her
Dress
As empty
You and your
Reflection,
Turn to face
The angry ones
Who cast you out-
Furious because
You and your
Mirror-sister
Revealed your
True faces.
Even as you,
Have shown
Them theirs.
