It's my first try at something that's all dialogue. I felt like challenging myself. Writing in nothing but dialogue demands that you keep the characters in character with every single word. That's harder than you might think.
"I can't believe you did that!"
"Oh let it go, Rodney."
"Look at this mess!"
"It's no big deal."
"Yes it is! It's going to take forever to get this cleaned off."
"I am one hundred percent sure that you're not supposed to do that to Ancient technology!"
"The Ancients might have fixed it this way if they had the tools and the talent."
"Tools and talent? What you did took no more intelligence than that possessed by an ape!"
"You're just mad I fixed it before you did."
"What? That has nothing to do with it!"
"JEALOUS? I most certainly am not!"
"Yes you are, you're mad because I fixed it when you couldn't."
"I would have fixed it in time."
"Well, I saved you the trouble then."
"But look at what you've done!"
"I fixed it didn't I?"
"WITH DUCT TAPE!"
"Yeah, but it's still fixed isn't it?"
A/N:Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote something in this fandom that made me giggle. This does. In case you couldn't tell, it's Sheppard and McKay bickering up there. Thanks to SpecialAgentJim for sparking the idea for this with her review of 'A Stroke Of Genius'. If you liked this silliness, you'll probably enjoy my other humor stories in the SGA and SG1 fandoms. Check them out if you like.
