Wolfsbane walked into the kitchen. Dirty dishes were piled up. "Who's turn is it to wash?" she asked no one in particular.

Wolverine, who was at the counter drinking his coffee and reading the paper, merely growled, "Yours." He then placed his emptied cup on the pile of plates. "Better get a move on."

He walked out of the kitchen, leaving the young Scotswoman to the dirty dishes.

As she turned on the faucet and filled the sink with water and soap, Nightcrawler walked in.

He laughed as Rahne got elbow deep in soap, he long sleeves getting soaked. "Need help?"

Rahne jumped in surprise, dropping the glass that was in her hand. Luckily, it was a plastic rather than an actual glass. "Don't scare me like that Kurt!"

He shrugged. "Sorry Rahne. I'll try to be louder next time."

Sighing, she picked up the cup. "Since you're in here, you can help me with the dishes."

Kurt grabbed a towel and smiled, "Sounds good."

It got very silent for a while. Rahne washed, and Kurt dried. This routine went on for a little bit, until Rahne felt foam hit her on the side of the face. She turned to see the resident elf with the biggest smirk on his face.

And so the War of Lemony Freshness had begun. The soap flew. The water soaked. The dishes remained dirty.

Finally the battle was over, with every corner of the kitchen a casualty. Rahne and Kurt sat on the wet floor laughing together.

He looked at her for a moment. "You've got soap on your face still."

Before Rahne could get the soap off her self, he grabbed her hand in order to stop it. He tried to get it off himself, but his hands too, were covered in soap. This only making it worse, he held his hands up in defeat in order to allow Wolfsbane to get it herself.

"You've got beautiful eyes, you know that Rahne?"

She blushed and shook her head to make sure she heard right. "No. I didn't know that."

"Yeah, they're a nice, dark green. But it's not dull. They sparkle. Like two emeralds almost."

She blushed even more. "Thank you."

"Then they've got these little gold flecks in them. They make you look more exotic."

As he thought she couldn't blush even more, Kurt decided to get a little braver.

"Your lips look nice and soft. But I could be wrong. Guess I gotta find out."

Before she could say anything, he gently grabbed her chin and gave her a soft kiss. "Nope. I was right. Nice and soft."

Kurt then kissed her again. And this time, she kissed back. They kissed again. And again. And again.

"Hope you guys enjoyed your selves," Wolverine interrupted, "Cause you two have a big mess to clean up thanks to it." And he left with a fanged grin on his face.

"Dumb kids," he chuckled.

They then got up off the floor and resumed cleaning the dishes, blushing the whole time.
