Thoughts of a Lovesick Knight.

Disclaimer: I own Rayne, and Lizzie. All others, I don't own. I wish I did, but I don't.

My third story. This is done in Rayne's POV. Enjoy.

I smile softly as I watch Robina and Valencia cross the street, looking totally in love. I swear, they are so sweet together! And they both seem quite happy, just being near each other.

Sort of like me. I'm just happy being near her. We spend a lot of time together. Even now we are. We're spending our day off like we usually do, going around to random places, doing whatever.

"You okay Rayne? You're even more quiet than usual." A voice next to me said. I turn and stare into those deep green eyes that I would love to get lost in. "No, I'm fine. Just thinking about how sweet those two are together." I say, and point at the pair.

"Okay. That's good." She says, and flashes me that familiar smile. Who is she? Well, she's Elizabeth Miura, or, as everyone calls her, Lizzie. She's my partner, and the girl I'm head-over-heels in love with. I've known that I love with her for a while now.

"I mean, you are my best friend after all. We gotta look after each other." She stated, and turned back to her ice cream, the grin still on her face.

I smile and nod, but flinch on the inside. That's right. She's my best friend. That's why I can't tell her. I can't lose the bond that we have. It kills me, but I have to keep it a secret. But I will, as long as I have to, as long as I get to be with her. I love everything about her, her eyes, her looks, her hyperness, her optimistic and happy-go-lucky attitude…everything.

"Hey, wanna go to Lolosia? We haven't got any duty until tonight." She says, throwing out the napkin she got with her ice cream, and then turning to me, cocking her head slightly and staring into my eyes.

I pause for a minute, and then agree. She smiles, her eyes brightening with excitement. I love it when she smiles like that. No, wait, scratch that, I love it when she smiles, period. It makes me melt. Corny, I know, but it's true. That's just the way it is when you're in love.

"Let's go then!" She cheers out, grabbing my hand then tugging me to the crossroads. I'm glad she's cant see my face; I don't want her to see the blush that's rose up.

Like I said before, I can't tell her how I feel. I don't want lose her, or destroy our friendship. But lately, she's been acting a bit strange around me. She's been blushing whenever I touch her hand, or whenever our eyes meet. A couple of weeks ago, she even kissed me after I saved her from the Moglinsters. I hope this is a sign that she's beginning to fall for me, just like I have for her.

Maybe, just maybe, I have a chance after all.

The End

Well, there you have it. A short, 1st person POV from me character, Rayne. Fluffy, I know. But I just love this couple. And in my stories. I'm getting them to end up together. Sometime soon I will. Review, or not to review, that is your choice. Ja ne!
