He tried another attack, kicking me in the chest. At least almost, but I twisted his arm slightly, maybe slightly more than I needed too, and he stumbled in pain. If I wanted to I could break it, just to prove my point. I was tempted to, slightly. Having one mentor die is bad enough, I hadn't needed a second to tell me that it's a nasty old world. Anyway, I couldn't break his arm. If there was one thing that AK had tought me before he died it was moderation. There was no need to elbow drop an opponent when he was down. "What... Do you mean?" Marduk asked. "I thought I was clear. Armor King isn't back. He's dead. I was at his funeral. A funeral you caused, Marduk." Marduk smirked, and I punched him in the face "So don't think everything's sunshine and smiles between us." I said, throwing him down into his shambled apartment. He lay on his back. I walked over, and grabbed his hand, offering to help him up. But instead, I put my foot on his chest, shoving him down. "As I said. AK's dead, no thanks to you. But now someone's back. Someone with his face. Someone with his name. Someone," I said, "Who for all appearances IS Armor King. But he's not. And you and I have to stop him." "Why should I help?" Marduk asked. "It's that, or a broken wrist." I said, twisting his arm again to emphasize my point. This guy was a real animalistic bastard, and I should know. "I won't be unfair. I won't have anybody say I'm not fair. I'm giving you a choice. Options. They're yours to choose. What'll it be?" I asked, "We friends, or enemies?" "Fr... Friends." He stuttered. "Good," I said angrily. I needed his help, but was secretly hoping that he would say no. I was hoping that I would get a chance to kill him. But since I didn't, I would make the most of it. "Then let's go. The sixth King of Iron Fist tournament will be starting soon. We don't want to miss it. "Good." Marduk nodded. I could see in his eyes a slight smile, not of joy for finding AK, but something else. A look I'd only seen once before on him, and that was on the worst day of my life.
