Well I'm back again with another one shot. This is a Logan/Marie paring. It's short and to the point I suppose. Well have fun reading it.
It was a chilly day in Westchester, New York but Rouge didn't care. She just needed to get away from the school and think about everything. Taking a walk into the back gardens of the school she thought about all the people she had absorbed in the last few years.
David, Bobby, John, Magneto, Jean, Mystic, Scott, Logan and so many others. Some where a comfort to have in her head, others just bothered her and gave her a headache. Sitting on a stone bench she began to think about her favorite voice in her head, Logan. He wasn't what you would call the voice of reason but kept her pretty sane for the most part. Sitting on the stone bench she called up his particular part of her mind and decided to hold a conversation with him. She began to talk to him in her mind about how much she loved him and needed him and how happy she was he was still here at the school.
The Logan in her head responded accordingly, saying the same stuff back. Rogue knew it wasn't real but sometimes it was nice to dream.
"Hey kid, what're you doing out here?"
Rogue jumped and turned around to look at the speaker.
"Hey, Logan. Nothing much, just thinking." Rogue responded.
"Mind if I join you in thinking?"
"Not at all. Grab some bench."
The both slid into a comfortable silence, both thinking about the other, neither knowing how perfect they were together. Everyone else say it but them.
Rogue was the first to break the silence.
"Is there anything wrong with me besides the fact I can't touch skin to skin?" She asked aloud.
Logan was startled to say the least.
"Marie, darlin there is nothing wrong with you." He exclaimed, grabbing her hand and kissing her palm.
"You are beautiful, kind, charming, caring, elegant, amazing, loving and the only girl who can get me to stay in one place."
"Logan if I didn't know any better I would say you were flirting with me." Rogue exclaimed.
"Who says I'm not?" Logan asked in all seriousness.
"Logan, don't joke about that."
"Who says I'm joking Marie?"
"Don't…..just don't please. I can't touch you and that's not fair to you." Rogue explained. Logan didn't seem to care he reached out and ran his thumb over her cheek.
"You don't have to physically touch me for me to love you. You have touched me in so many other ways no one else can."
"Logan please don't do this." Rogue begged.
"Marie look me in the eyes and say you don't feel the same way."
"I, I can't," She stammered, "because I love you with my whole heart."
Logan pulled her into a hug and held on to her for dear life.
"I will never let you go as long as I live, and that's a pretty damn long time." He declared. "I love you to much."
"Please don't let go Logan, just don't let go. Not right now anyway."
The two hugged each other for a little longer before getting up and walking back to the school, where unbeknownst to them two pairs of very happy eyes watched them the whole time.
