Disclaimer: Ha! Like I own CSI, you silly goose!

Spoilers: Leaving Las Vegas – I know it hasn't aired yet, but I'm clairvoyant, so it's okay…oh, and the reviews are great. I can tell that already, too.

Let's just stop,
drop everything,
(forget each other's names) forget each other's names,
And just walk away.

----

"So…when you said you were happy?" she asked.

"I was telling the truth."

"Well, that's pretty evident right now."

He just sighed.

----

Turn around and head in different directions,
Like we never, it's like we never knew each other at all.
We said what we feel, then we stop ourselves,
And just walk away.
Never looking back,
Loving every second of it,
we just walk away.

----

"How long are you going to be gone?"

"I don't know, Sara."

"Are you even coming back?"

"I love you, but…I don't know the answer to that, either. What…what are you going to do?"

"I don't know, Gil."

----

This is probably the best,
not to mention the worst idea,
that I have ever had.

----

"We're both going to be miserable, you know."

"That is one thing I do know," he said, wiping away her tears as a distraction from his own.

----

Ignoring what we've loved,
Overlooking what we've done,
No awkward silences, no hiding any truths
What do you say?

----

"You stuck with me, Sara. The whole way. I can never thank you enough for that."

"You could always stay, Gil," she said with hope.

"I can't."

"I know."

----

We say what we feel,
Then we stop ourselves,
And just walk away.
Never looking back,
Loving every second of it,
We just walk away.

----

He saw he look in her eye along with the slight smile on her face and he knew what she was doing. "Don't do that, Sara."

"Do what?"

"Don't do that to yourself…remember things about us. You'll just make it harder."

"I know. I know…look ahead, right?"

"Right," he sighed.

----

Let's just stop,
Drop everything,
Forget each other's names,
Can we please just walk away?
It could be...could be...
Like we never knew each other at all.

----

All bags were packed and waiting with them at the door, both wanting to avoid that last step.

"You enjoy your cake yesterday at the lab?"

"Yeah, I did." He smiled halfheartedly.

"Warrick told me he'd explain why you two thought it was so funny." She smiled back the same way.

"Good, I'll miss you guys."

"You should go," she said, not really wanting him to. "You'll miss your flight."

"Can…can I call you when I get there?"

"Do you really think that's a good idea, Gil?"

He shook his head slowly. "I guess it's not."

----

Answer me!
All egos aside, what do you say?

----

"Bye, Sara."

"Goodbye…Grissom."

Yeah…I know. I want to kick my own ass for writing it, so your opinion is okay, too. The song was Baby, you Wouldn't Last a Minute on the Creek by Chiodos. The acoustic version of the song is on my homepage for the time being if you want to give it a listen.

Come on, click that tacky purple button!
