Slice. Slice. Slice. With every cut that Raven made, more liquid trickled down into the sink beneath her. As tear after tear fell from her eyes, one singular thought continued to play within her mind.

She hated Beast Boy for doing this to her. It was Beast Boy making her cut, again, and as the blade in her hand continued to peel off layer after layer of skin, she wiped away another tear. She turned on the sink and watched as all the liquid washed into the drain as she made cut after cut after cut.

"This is your fault, Beast Boy... you're making me do this, time after time... and with every cut, I think of you..."

She gritted her teeth and cut again, choking out a sob and allowing more of the warm, sweet liquid to mix with her tears and the water flowing down the sink. Another layer of skin came off, washed down with all the rest. This wasn't the first time that Raven had cut... several days before, she'd done it, though that time, it was because of Robin.

"Every day, it's the same thing from them... I don't want to do this, but I can't help it..."

As Raven continued to cut, she could hear footsteps slowly coming down the hall... someone was entering the room... most likely Beast Boy. She couldn't let him see her doing this, she knew he would say SOMETHING... more tears came down Raven's face, and she quickly set down her blade, letting her head hang down into the sink. She could hear him getting closer and closer, and with every step he took, she wanted to cut FASTER... she wasn't done, not even close...

Then came the voice, the voice that had set Raven into motion in the first place... the one that made her cut. It was Beast Boy, and she couldn't even bear to hear him speak...

She wiped the last of the tears from her face and raised her head up from the sink. She had to let him know how she felt, she HAD to let him know how much she hated when he did this... caused her so much pain and hardship. But before she could speak, his loud, screeching voice echoed through the room.

"Hey Raven, you finished peeling those onions yet?"

"I thought I told you not to come in until I was DONE!" shouted Raven, spinning around. Beast Boy could clearly see the tears flowing down her face, and began to chuckle loudly.

"I know how much you hate peeling onions, Robin had you do it five days ago and I saw how good of a job you did, so-"

"If you don't get out of the kitchen, this onion's not going to be the only thing I'm peeling."

Raven gritted her teeth, and gave her changeling teammate a look that clearly indicated to him that she no longer wanted him around.

"Well, uh... thanks anyway... seeya at supper!"

As Beast Boy left, Raven slumped against the kitchen sink and let out a long, heavy sigh. As she wiped more tears from her face, she made herself a stern, resolute promise...

"This is the last time I EVER agree to peel onions."
