I do not, have not, and as much as I hate to admit it, will not ever own the rights to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I don't even think I really need a disclaimer for this, seeing as the turtles aren't actually in it. But hey, better safe then sorry!
In the middle of the road lay a nest.
It was empty, save for the single shell
Cracked, but not enough, unlike the rest.
The smallest of the birds had gone through hell
Hoping to escape the cramped prison
That offered him life, but kept him grounded.
So we wondered, vaguely, about the reason.
But there was none, and we were confounded.
We stood on the side of that road and thought
Thoughts that you, however brilliant, struggled with
Unwilling to accept my suggestion
Shaking your head, chuckling, "It's just a myth."
For we had watched society crumble,
And all we had done was stand, and mumble.
We had to write a sonnet for english class, and I somehow churned out this little puppy. I messed up the third quatrain (changed line 9 and neglected line 11) but other then that I'm pleased with it.
And you? What are you thoughts about it? You can tell me if you'd like. It's really easy, just click the review button.
