I wanted to write about strawberry jam, but this was much more inspiring. Enjoy the (literal) sweetness.

To Ron, muggle holidays sucked. His dad had insisted that he and Ron spend time with Hermione's family to learn more about muggle living. But it was just complicated and annoying to him. Until he found what gumballs were.

"What are those?" "Gumballs. They're a muggle treat." Hermione replied.

"Do you want some?" She offered. Ron shook his head.

"Come on, they're good." She insisted, putting one halfway into her mouth.

Ron watched the green colored candy pass Hermione's lips and he blushed a great deal, his ears turning the most obvious of red.

"What's wrong?" Hermione asked. "Nothing." Ron grumbled.

Again, he watched as this time, an orange one passed he slightly wet lips, and he observed the color sticking onto part of her lips like paint, making him stare at her mouth even more.

And then he spoke up.

"I think I will have one of those."

"Good. This is the last one anyway." Hermione grinned, still chewing on her gumballs.

She handed Ron a pink one, which he looked at with misgivings, but took and put in his mouth anyway.

It was sweet, and he savored the taste, but unknowingly swallowed it.

"You weren't supposed to do that." Hermione scolded.

"Too bad, they were really good." Ron mumbled, watching her again.

"Well… You have some of the color on your chin." She said, and much like his mum, she wiped Ron's face, but with her wrist, making him a raspberry red.

"Hermione…" Ron protested, but in that instant, she leaned over and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Uh… Huh?" He looked at her with wide eyes, and she smiled.

"Sweet, right? They're a great treat." She said.

"Uh… Yeah…" He mumbled.

Hermione grinned mischievously and pulled Ron by his wrist.

"C'mon, let's go buy some more." She said.

Maybe this muggle holiday wasn't so bad after all. Ron thought.

R&R please. They had more fun later on, actually, but just use your imagination for that.
