Samantha Carter lay in the arms of her fiancé on their sofa while they watched Temple of Doom. Daniel Jackson rested his cheek against her head and sighed happily. Normally, the archaeologist in him would be pointing out the historical and anthropological inaccuracies of the movie, but tonight he was completely content to hold the woman he loved.

When the movie ended, Sam lifted her head and lovingly caressed Daniel's cheek. She trailed her hand down to rest on his chest and looked at him with a serious expression on her face.

"Daniel, I have a confession to make."

He gazed into her clear blue-grey eyes, a bit concerned. "What is it?"

"When I was growing up, and for most of my life, I never, umm..."

Daniel gave her shoulder an encouraging squeeze.

She sighed heavily, and dropped her head to his chest. "I never really thought that history and the study of cultures was all that umm...interesting or ah...important," she mumbled into his shirt.

Daniel's eyebrows rose. "Oh, really?"

Sam lifted her head again and gave him a sheepish grin. "Yeah."

"Only for most of your life?"

"Yeah, well, I guess my mind changed when I got to know a certain someone..." Her voice trailed off.

"Oh?" Daniel brushed a lock of blonde hair from her forehead. "Anyone I know?"

"Yeah, I think so. Actually, I'm positive."

Daniel couldn't hide his smile any longer. "Who?"

"He's brilliant, dedicated, passionate, handsome, and has a real knack for getting himself both into and out of trouble."

"Sounds like an interesting guy," he murmured, trailing a finger down the bridge of her nose.

"Yeah, he really is."

Daniel chuckled softly, enjoying the game they were playing. "So, what's his name?"

Sam's grin turned mischievous. "Indiana Jones."

Daniel erupted with laughter and he started to tickle her. She shrieked and tried to escape, but he had her trapped between his body and the back of the sofa.

Sam retaliated, tickling him back. She grabbed a pillow from behind his head and pretended to smother him, laughing. Daniel twisted his body and shifted her underneath him, pinning her hands on the arm of the sofa over her head.

He laughed fondly as he looked down at her. Sam was struggling, but Daniel knew that she was only pretending, because the Air Force colonel's attempts to escape were completely ineffective. He lowered his lips to hers for a zealous kiss, and she abruptly stopped resisting and kissed him back.

Daniel lifted his head and gazed at the incredible woman beneath him. Sam smiled up at him adoringly.

"Well, I'm no Indiana Jones, but–" His words were cut off as she raised her head to kiss him again.

"I love you, Daniel Jackson," she said after the need for oxygen separated them.

Daniel smiled. "And I love you, Samantha Carter."
