Ryou's got an addiction. And someone else can see it...
Ryou Bakura has an addiction. I can see it. Oh, the boy doesn't know I can tell, but he's addicted. To who, I don't know, but I know. Yes, who. He's too good a person to get addicted to drugs. But he is addicted to someone. I can tell because I watch him as he sits in the back of my classroom, smiling to himself.
Recently, he started coming to class with bruises and a split lip, and still he smiled to himself. I'm beginning to worry about Ryou. This addiction of his looks painful.
This morning Ryou didn't come to class at all. Someone found him at home, still passed out in a puddle of his own blood. One of his friends, I believe. They're with him now in the hospital.
I always worry for my students, but especially for Ryou. He's always so frail. I hate being unable to help, not knowing. So I did the one thing I could do.
"Ryou has an addiction."
And now he knows. Ryou Bakura has an addiction...
