This was it. I thought excitedly to myself. This was the day I had been waiting for my entire life. Sure it wasn't exactly the way I had thought it would be. I had always pictured myself marrying someone, well . . . human. Edward changed that for the better. I stood in front of the full-length mirror, admiring the dress Esme, Alice, and Rosalie had gotten the dress shop to create just for me. A one of a kind. Totally origional. The dress was a strappy pure white gown with little glittering diamonds embroidered into the front that shone when I walked. My hair was piled into an amazing bun with little curled whisps of brown hair floating around my face. I wore a shining tiara that had once belonged to Esme's own grandmother. That she would let me wear it was a wonder to me. I adorned ever so slightly raised, sparkling pointed shoes that had thin straps that wove up my legs and tied just below my knee.
Soon, very soon I would be walking down the wedding isle towards my God. Towards my Edward. Even now it still shocked me that of all the people, and creatures in the world he could have choosen, he decided to pick me. A plain, and oh-so-average human. Well, vampire now.
A knock sounded quietly on the door to my small room, making me start from my thoughts. "Come in!" I called as I turned, glancing at it and focused on the door-knob. Pictured it turning itself, as though an invisible hand grasped it, and it did just that.
The door swung open to reveal Rosalie in all her tall, blonde beauty. Alice had helped me choose the bridemaid's and maid of honor's dresses.
I had choosen Esme as my maid of honor. She wore a pale lavender gown that flowed just past her knees. Her feet were adorned with delicate lavender ballet-like shoes, while her hair was pinned up into a cascading, intricate plait.
Alice and Rosalie both looked equally amazing in their pale pink dresses with strappy slightly-heeled pink shoes that glimmered when they walked. Rosalie's hair was carefully thrown into a dissarrying bun upon her head with little peices of baby's breath woven into it all over. Alice's hair was slightly spiked in the front, with the rest combed back. She looked even more pixie-like then ever, while Rosalie looked even more like a living goddess then usual.
Esme came over with a large smile on her face, and hugged me gently. "I'm so glad that you're becoming an official member of our family. You are so good for Edward. He's only ever truly happy when he's with you."
"Oh, Esme. If only you knew how much those words mean to me. I know that you regard me as a part of the family, but I can't wait to make it official!"
She smiled even wider and exclaimed, "In just a few moments I will have yet another happily married couple in my home."
Next came Alice, bubbling and bouncing along in excitement. She giggled as she grasped my hands tightly. "I would hug you, but I'm much too excited and I would be sure to ruin you."
"Oh Alice . . . of course I wouldn't mind if you messed me up slightly."
She smiled her pixie-like smile and said, "I know you wouldn't mind. It's more of a personal thing! I mean if only you knew how hard it was to get those people in the store to agree to make you that dress. You look amazing, by the way."
Rosalie interjected now as the wedding march began. "Yes, you do look amazing Bella. I can't wait for this! Let's get going!"
As I marched down the isle with Sam, who was stepping in as my father, by my side I glanced around the room for a moment. Jacob, whom Edward had finally agreed to let me invite along with the rest of the LaPush pack, smiled his wide, sad smile at me. I didn't stop smiling, but I did feel rather terrible about this. It wasn't quite fair to Jacob that if Edward hadn't been here, things would have been so much different for the two of us. He wouldn't be my mortal enemy, for instance.
When my eyes finally reached the alter where Edward was standing patiently staring at me with bright butterscotch-colored eyes. I stopped breathing all together, no longer a problem since I didn't exactly have to. He looked simply stunning in just a simple jet-black tuxedo. He looked directly into my eyes and amiled his glorious crooked smile I adored so very much.
Once I reached the alter Sam gave me away and went to sit with the rest of the pack. Now as Edward and I faced a priest from the Voltouri hand in hand I felt invincable. Nothing could be wrong in the world with the love of my life by my side.
We had choosen to use the traditional wedding vows in our marriage and repeated what the man told us to.
Now came the "I do's."
The preist looked to me. "Do you, Isabella Marie Swan, take this man, Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
I smiled widely and announced loudly, "I do."
Edward slipped the wedding band he had gotten for me onto my ring finger.
Now the preist turned to Edward. "Do you, Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, take this woman, Isabella Marie Swan, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
Edward looked directly into my eyes as he announced confidently, "I do."
The preist stood straight after I had slipped my wedding band for Edward onto his ring finger. "I now announce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
We locked eyes as Edward leaned me back slightly in an amazing embrace. It seemed like a millenium of passionate kissing had gone by when we finally broke apart, breathless. The crowed broke into a ringing applause, and I even heard a few wolf-whistles. Ironic, I thought to myself. A crowed of mortal enimies cheering for the bonding of two vampires. Werewolves cheering for vampires, vampires cheering for vampires. Everything was right in my world. Even Jacob had accepted that I was not his to have. Edward and himself had been getting along just fine, and the rest of the LaPush pack didn't mind the Cullens so much anymore.
This was the way my life was meant to be. To many it may seem screwed up. A vampire with a werewolf bestfriend. But not to me. To me, it just seemed . . . right.
Okay! The end! Maybe? I might do an epilouge or sequel. But I'm rather reluctant to do a sequel since I have so many stories I need to finish up right now that yet another one just wouldn't be good currently. But anyways, I hope you liked it! Review, review, review!
