A/N: None of these characters are the work of my own, but by Stephenie Meyer.

Sorry for the long delay. I had been doing a lot of stuff, and kept putting this off. Mainly because I was afraid it was going to suck if I wrote it when I didn't really feel like writing. So…sorry again, but here it is. Please review if you like it.

Read the first chapter before this one, please, if you haven't already.

A Nasty Itch

"Hello, Bella. Sorry, about the poison ivy, but I know something that can help the itching." Edward smiled and held out the pan towards me. "Eggs?"

"Wh-what?" I was too shocked to form a coherent sentence.

Edward's lips turned up into a smirk and Charlie looked between us; wondering what was going on, I'm sure.

"Bella," Charlie started slowly, "What happened to you?"

I wanted to yell, "It was Edward daddy! Get the dogs to sick that mean nasty creature!" or something of the sort. But Edward spoke for me.

"It appears that Bella has gotten herself into some poison ivy."

I was meanwhile thinking, What is Edward doing here?

"Uh, Edward-" I finally managed to squeak. "can I-I, uh, talk to you?"

He shook her head, however.

"After you eat, you may."

His eyes sparkled with amusement as he took one long step towards me and gently grabbed my hand; pulling me to the table.

I glared at him as he pushed me down onto a chair.

He was enjoying torturing me far too much.

Charlie stared at the both of us with a confused expression.

"Bella, do you want some aloe?"

I nodded. That's all I had wanted to ask him for in the first place.

He stood, and padded up the stairs leaving me alone with my betrayer.

"Edward," I began, but he suddenly put a plate in front of me and I gasped.

On the plate was three slices of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and two pancakes.

"I can't eat all this!" I objected. "You know I eat like a bird."

"Actually," Edward replied lightly, sitting down next to me. "You're wrong. Birds eat a great deal of food, compared to their small size."

I rolled my eyes and was about to retort, but Charlie reappeared and silently handed me the bottle.

As I scratched my legs and arms with my shorter than short nails I read the label on the back of the bottle.

"Can you put this stuff everywhere?" I asked, looking up at Charlie, blushing slightly.

"Why?" Charlie asked as his eyebrows rose.

.My blush deepened. "Because…I have them everywhere."

I'm trying not to sound disgusting; merely factual, but it looks like I have well…an STD.

And I have no idea how they got into my pants either.

Edward suddenly coughed and I whipped my head around to glare daggers at him.

He was grinning like a school boy getting caught looking at a dirty magazine and it sickened me.

I ate another bite of eggs, sorry to have to let go of Edward's fabulous cooking, but the itching sensation was getting unbearable.

"Well, I'm uh going to go put this stuff on." I threw Edward a meaningful glance then ran up the stairs.

I heard him say he was going out to get something from the car as I walked into my room.

He was already in my rocking chair when I turned around after shutting my dorr.

To my disgust, he was grinning.

"What is so funny?" I snapped, itching my cheeks. "It's your fault I look like this."

His grin widened – if possible – "I know."

"Oh, so now you like seeing me in pain?" I knew this would get to him.

Edward stopped smiling and now I had to fight from letting my lips turn up.

"You're in pain?" He asked his voice slightly strained.

I shrugged. "No not really. More like – just itchy."

He smiled again, his good humor returning.

"I really am sorry, Bella."

I scoffed, "Yeah, you look it."

"I truly am." His voice rang with a deep understanding sincerity and he gave me an apologetic look to which I sighed and sat down on the bed.

"First, before I put this stuff on, I want to know why you were in the forest last night."

Before he answered he stood and moved to sit next to me on the bed. Leaning back against the headboard he pulled me along with him and left his arms around me while I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Well you see…"

I could tell he was trying to make up a plausible lie so I scolded him.

"Edward. The truth please."

His eyes hardened, but he gave in.

"Fine. I was…watching you. I got my hunting done early so I could…well…not really spy, just watch on you to see what you do when I leave."

My body stiffened and my hand reflexively clenched into a fist from anger.

"And?" I prompted.

"I saw you dancing around the house in some sort of workout method apparently. And other things."

I was already blushing and now I closed my eyes.

"What else?"

He seemed reluctant to tell me.

"Your little 'talk' with Charlie."

At that I tried to jerk out of his grasp, tugging at his arms to let me go.

It seems so strange that whenever he's away I can't wait to get back into his arms, and now I'm dying to get out of them.

"Edward, please, let me go."

With a sigh he loosened his hold and I backed up on the bed to sit across from him.

"Please don't be mad." He said softly, trying to look me in the eye, but I was looking away.

"I'm not mad…really." More like mortified.

I peeked up at him to see him give me a skeptical look.

"Really, I'm fine. It's good." I paused. "So did you really hear the whole thing? About what me and Charlie talked about?"

Edward grinned and I groaned.

"I'm sorry, Bella. Please forgive me. I was really going to leave after I heard the topic, but I just found it too…amusing."

"Yeah. Amusing for you maybe, but definitely not me."

He tried to reach for me again, but I pulled away.

"Leave please." I ordered.

His face looked hurt though he tried to hide it.

"Not the house, just the room." I clarified, holding up the aloe bottle. "I need to put this stuff on."

Edward raised a brow, "Can't you put it on while I'm in here?"

I blushed, "Edward, I meant what I said when I have them everywhere."

To my embarrassment, his eyes widened in an expression of shock. Then his lips curved into a smirk and I pointed to the door.

"Go!"

He held up his hands in a mock defeat gesture and quickly left the room.

I rolled my eyes while scratching my thighs then began stripping out of my clothes.

I almost used up the bottle on my legs, but managed to scrounge out enough from the rest of my body.

After I dressed, Edward seemed to know that I was finished and quietly knocked on the door.

"I'm done."

He opened the door and stopped short, seeing my body covered in white goo.

"Don't say a word." I warned and he grinned.

"Please Edward." I begged, gingerly sitting down on the bed being careful not to get the stuff all over the blankets.

"This is terrible." I moaned. "I'm itchy all over!"

Edward gave me a look of sympathy and sat down next to me, gently rubbing my arms.

Suddenly I shivered and he quickly pulled his hands away.

"I'm sorry."

"No don't be. That felt amazing. It soothes the itching." I said placing his cold hands back on my skin.

He seemed reluctantly, but slowly started moving his hands over my arms. Then they slowly trailed over my collar bone and just a little lower.

I gasped softly and he quick as lighting removed his hands.

We stared into each others eyes for a moment – his seemed to be raging and I wondered what mine looked like.

He ruined the moment by looking down at the stuff on his hands with a disgusted expression.

I blushed, "Sorry."

Edward opened his mouth to say something, but a soft knocking came from the vicinity of the window.

I whirled around to see spiky hair and large gold eyes staring at me.

A high-pitched scream escaped my lips for a fraction of a second before Edward quickly put his large hand over my mouth.

"It's just Alice." He whispered into my ear.

My heart was pounding and I couldn't seem to catch my breath.

"A little jumpy are we, Bella?" Alice teased once she'd climbed through the window.

I nodded, still gasping quietly.

"Sorry. I thought you were Vic-"

Edward silenced me by putting a protective arm around my shoulders.

"Bella, you know I'd be able to detect her from a mile away." He reassured me in a stern voice.

"And I would see her." Alice said softly smiling down at me.

"I know, I know I'm just…" I broke off that sentence and decided to start anew. "What are you doing here Alice?"

Alice grinned in response.

"Well, I thought you could use a little cheering up-" That only dampened my mood more now that I knew that Alice knew that this was going to happen "so I have come to take you to a picnic!"

"A…picnic? For me or for you?"

Alice seemed confused and her smile faltered for a moment. Edward was glaring at Alice and her supposed hidden intentions.

"Only teasing." I snickered and Alice looked relieved.

Edward let go of me and stood next to Alice. They were both staring unabashed at me as I scratched my bites.

"Will…you…quit staring?!" I growled through clenched teeth.

Edward looked away pointedly while Alice continued to stare.

"Are you going to wear that?" She asked suddenly.

"Uhm…yes. What's wrong with it?"

Alice shrugged then began to walk towards the window.

Edward started after her and I called after him, "Hey where are you going?"

He turned abruptly and kissed my forehead.

"Go and tell Charlie you're going on a picnic."

I must have rolled my eyes or because he grinned and ruffled my hair.

Kissing my neck he whispered into my ear, "Meet you outside."

I changed into a better fitting tank top and shorts before skipping down the stairs.

"Dad I'm going on a picnic with Edward and Ali-"

I stopped mid-sentence once reaching the landing and stared in horror at the beaming figure sitting in our kitchen chair. Renee, my mother. And her sudden appearance only meant one thing. Trouble.

A/N:
