A/N: YES!!! OPPASABLE THUMBS!!! This is something different, I should say.

I was quickly awakened by my stupid alarm clock. I hit the snooze button and continued to sleep. Moments later I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I jump out of bed and start getting ready for school. My mom opens the door.

"Hey, mom." I said, yawning.

"Hey, Edward. I was just seeing if you were up. It didn't sound like you got up when I heard your alarm clock go off. So I had to come and check." Elizabeth said. I hate how she would make me get up in the mornings. Today was my first day of my junior year. And to tell you the truth I was dreading it. I picked up my keys to my old blue beat up VW Beatle. I loved that car. I walked out the door and got into my bug. (A/N: The VW Beatle is what I call a 'bug'. Just so you know.) I put the key in the ignition and started the bug. I started driving down the road.

I had been living in Forks, Washington for as long as I could remember. I had started attending Forks High School two years ago. I have always been kind of a loner. No friends. No allies. No nothing. I was hoping that this year that would all change. I walked into the front office to get my schedule. I saw what class I had first. Trigonometry. Oh, that's just great. I know that I will absolutely hate this teacher right away! Just because of the subject they taught. When I walked out of the office, I saw a shiny, silver Volvo drive up. Now that is a car I have never seen in Forks before. I saw 5 people get out of the car. They were people I had never seen before. There looked to be two guys and three girls. The first guy, who looked to be the eldest, had dark curly hair. He was very muscular. He had a girl next to her. She was pretty and blonde. She had a body like one you would see on magazines. The next boy who looked to be about the second youngest of the brothers was a little bit less muscular but muscular nonetheless. He had straight blonde hair. He also had a girl next to him. She was short and pixie-like. Her hair was a jet black and had spikes in it. Then, I spotted her. The goddess-like girl. She was beautiful. She had brown hair. I went down to her waist. It was long and straight. She was plain but stunning. They all walked up to the front office. Since I was still standing next to the door, I opened it for them. That was when I got the color of her eyes. They were a liquid topaz color.

"Thank you." She said. Her voice was musical and velvety.
