It had been a strange tiring day. There were times she could kick Roy. This was one of them. When a twelve-year-old boy was capable of seeing Roy's disdain for the danger Edward Elric had put the Fuhrer in, then people who really mattered probably noticed as well. Of course, Riza didn't have to kick Roy. He was doing that himself for being so transparent. Mustang had been miserable all day, so dark that she thought she ought to do something about it.

When Mustang came out into the anteroom, Riza announced to no one in particular, "I think I'll walk Hayate in the park tonight." She wasn't sure if the other soldiers had cracked the code or not, but she knew Roy heard her clearly. He would be at her house tonight. "Around dinner time," she added.

"Isn't the park crowded then?" Fuery asked, his innocence completely unaffected.

"Hayate likes the other dogs," she replied with a smile.

"You spoil him," Roy said with a smirk.

"Always." Riza wet her lips. It should be a good night.

It was simply safer for him to meet her at her apartment. The district was lower rent, more crowded and people took less notice of people coming in and out than in the area where most officers made their home. It would do no one any good for them to be noticed and with Roy's dark exotic looks, he was hard to hide. Roy arrived at her place, hat slung low over his brow.

Riza swept him inside and dinner was light. She had bigger plans than stuff him full. After they sat listening to a radio show for a while, Riza ran a hand along his arm. "I have a surprise for you."

Roy smiled. "Oh?"

"You had a bad day so I thought you might like to unwind a little. Sit, I'll be right back." Riza wondered if he'd like what she had planned. It was a fantasy she had been indulging in for some time. She got the folded silk scarf and went back out to the living room. "Close your eyes," she instructed.

Smiling, Roy complied. His hand came up as the blindfold slid over his skin and she slapped his fingers. "What are you doing?"

"Leave it." Riza took his hand and hauled him up. "Trust me."

Riza carefully guided him to the bedroom, sitting him down. Her lips glided over his.

"When can I take it off?" he asked as she undid the buttons of his shirt.

She smoothed a hand over his chest, plucking lightly at one nipple. "You don't."

From the huge grin on Roy's face, Riza knew her fantasy was his pleasure.
