Disclaimer: I know the makers of Pokémon send people all
over the Internet to find some poor unlucky soul who forgot to put a disclaimer
on their fanfics, just so they can sue them and get more money. Well you're not going to get me because I
don't own Pokémon! Hah!
A/N: Pikachu and Togepi are in this, they just
aren't mentioned…^_^; It was a spur of
the moment kinda thing, the idea being solely about Ash & Misty, so I'd
already written it before I realized I'd left out the little critters…owel.
Ash, Misty, and Brock
just found their way through the woods after being lost for hours. They were headed toward the nearest Pokémon
Centre to spend the night. When they got there, the centre was filled with big wooden
Gonna be a little cramped tonight," Ash said.
Just then, Nurse Joy came in, yawning.
"Food supplies," she informed them. "I didn't get a chance to move them today
because I had to tend to a very sick Magikarp."
"Is it going to be okay?" Misty asked,
"I've got it stabilized. I'm just going to check up on it before I go
"So, how do we decide where everyone's
going to sleep?" Asked Misty.
"Oh," Nurse Joy turned around. "One of you can sleep in the spare
room. It's right next to mine," she said
as she left the room.
"Ohh, I'd do anything to get closer to you,
Nurse Joy," Brock said in a trancelike state.
"Um, Brock, why do you spend all of your
time chasing after Nurse Joy?" Ash
asked. "She doesn't really seem to
"You'll find out when you're older Ash,"
Brock informed him. "Now if you'll
excuse me…Nurse Joy! I, the valiant
knight, Brock, shall save you from the evil Gyrados!" He yelled, as he magically floated out of the room.
"Somehow, I doubt that," Ash murmured to
himself. "Oh well, looks like it's just
you and me, Mist. Let's see is we can
find a spot for our sleeping bags."
"This seems to be the roomiest spot," Misty
said as she rolled out her sleeping bag.
Ash then came over and rolled out his, but since there was barely any
room, they ended up thisclose together.
They stood back to survey their work.
Their cheeks began to turn red ever so slightly.
Misty broke the silence. "Well, we'd better get to bed…"
"Yeah," Ash agreed.
They slowly, awkwardly climbed into their
"Goodnight Misty. See you in the morning."
"Goodnight Ash. Sweet dreams…" (A/N: Sound familiar? ^_~)
Ash was startled awake in the middle of the
night. He looked at his watch. It was 3:30. He felt something moving next to him and whipped his head
around. He had forgotten Misty was
right next to him. She was tossing and
turning and there were tears streaming down her face.
"Misty," Ash tried to shake her awake. "Misty!
Wake up!" Just then, Misty's
eyes snapped open. She looked around
wildly in the dark.
She cried frantically.
"I'm right here Misty," Ash said as he
leaned over her. "You were having a
"Oh," Misty said, as she sat up. Ash had the strangest feeling as he looked
into her eyes. He couldn't figure out
what it was, but he didn't want Misty to be afraid. Not knowing what else to do, he wrapped his arms around her. He waited for her to react, and he relaxed
when she leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder and fell asleep. Whatever this feeling was, Ash felt it even
stronger now. As he held the sleeping
girl in his arms, he suddenly knew what it was. "Huh," he thought, as he slowly drifted off to sleep.
