Title: This is How You Tell Them

Series: Stargate: Atlantis

Rating: K+

Pairing: Carson/Teyla

Summary: Sequel to 'How do You Tell Them?' Well, this answers that question. People wanted to know, so now y'all shall.

Sometimes there are no words, only feelings…actions. There is nothing in this world, in this very galaxy that is able to define the kind of love you have for a person. The very love that enables you to put your heart in to everyday life, to live for each moment in hopes to see their smiling face. It is the kind of love that if it came down to it, you would die for someone, but you would rather live for them. The swelling that immerses deep in your heart at the very thought or sight of the object of your love. It is for that someone that when they return hurt from a mission you stay by their side ever vigilant, and you pray. Two souls came together from two very different worlds. They are united under stressful circumstances, but will make the future more valuable than gold.

When you are finally face to face with that someone special and you long to tell them everything that has been festering inside you, just say it. Let it spill forth until the spring of confession has run dry. Don't worry about their reaction, because chances are, they feel the exact same way about you. Life is precious as it is short. We cannot take it for granted. We cannot spend forever worrying about the 'what ifs' or wonder if he or she really did love you. Carpe diem. Seize the day. That's what has to be done! Yes, now to only put that plan in to action!

"Sorry, please continue…." Teyla bows her head while blushing.

Carson clears his throat, trying to clear his nervousness. "What I mean to say was…. well, Teyla, you have come to mean a great deal to me. Since coming to Atlantis, you have made your way in to my heart…I value your friendship, but even more…I love you. You're a strong, brave warrior, not to mention beautiful! I love all those qualities about you. I love you, Teyla."

Teyla was silent for a moment, but then gathered her courage. "I feel the same way about you, Carson. You are a fine man, as well as a fine doctor. You are constantly putting others before yourself, and attending to those in need. You are most kind, yet brave. You are also very gentle, yet tough when need be. You are the ideal man, Carson. Some how, you have nestled in to my heart, and I love you…I love everything about you."

Carson's eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't known her reaction would be like this. Oh, he was overjoyed that it was. He smiled tenderly at her, with her returning his smile, and he leaned in to gently place his lips on hers. The kiss was soft, yet firm. It was a kiss to show that this love was one that would blossom in to an ever lasting one, one that would surpass the ages…overcoming any obstacle fate puts in its path.
