SSPF-Starfleet Special Purpose Force

"These are the best six ships in the four quadrants" said Admiral Brakett waving her hands towards the six gleaming ships. She brought the six captains to their would-be ships. Quickly, Brakett took a head count while the captains were overlooking the ships. "Eight" she said. "Damn, it's Robert again" she said under her breath. Leaving the guard to take care of the captains, she left in pursuit of the ninth captain.

"Where are you Robert?" she asked pushing her way between mechanics and holograms. She spotted a messy brown haired head in the midst of a crowd of people. "Robert Camn!" she said sharply. The man turned around, he had bright green eyes and looking surprised, but then he put on a casual face. "Admiral, I've picked out my crew already!" he said ushering the Admiral in. "What are you doing?" she whispered as he brought her in. She then noticed that there were less than sixty people around her. "You have a skeleton crew Mr. Camn, that is not acceptable!" she said with her hands on her hips. "These are the best 56 people from the crew you assigned to me, no offense but. I don't need the others. These guys make the cut and they're the best" he said. "Robert, one more toe out of line and I am going to veto you from your ship entirly!" said Brakett. With a few more minutes, she had gotten Camn out and to the ship again.

She sighed and looked at the ships, beauties. Starfleet had spent at least two years on each ship to outfit them with the latest technology and best weaponary. For the next hour, she kept an eye on Robert as the captains recieved a tour. When it ended, Robert came to her. "Sis, just let me try the ship with only 56" he said. Being the big sister of a captain as stubborn as hers was hard. She gave her best death-glare, but Robert just sat back. "You know that's not going to do anything Dara" he said with his arms crossed over his chest. She hated it when her brother got that smug look on his face, used her first name, and made her think that she had no other choice but his. But the thing was. . .he was right. And it worked everytime. "All right, but if you screw up. . ." said Brackett leaving the sentence hanging. Robert shrugged, "sure sis" he said. But it was of course a hooked opening. Brakett meant business when she had given Robert this chance, and he intended to use it to it's full potential.

Soon after their conversation, the captains were assigned with their crews. Proudly Dara stepped to the podium and read the names aloud:

"Robert Camn is the captain of the U.S.S Griffin

Jesse Janeway is the Captain of the U.S.S Voyager2

Joseph Sisko is the Captain of the U.S.S Daylight

Quilan Kraken is the Captain of the U.S.S Nighthawk

Halley Greenblade is the captain of the U.S.S Falcon

Charles Picard is the Captain of the U.S.S Indiana"

After she had read the captain's names out loud, she moved onto the rest of the crews. When she was done, she announced that all crews and captains were to report to Deep Space Nine after one day. Drifting away from the announcing ceremony, she thought of Michael Sisko. Charming man he was, younger brother to Joseph Sisko, but he did a wonderful job of maintaining Deep Space Nine.

Snapping back to the current reality, Dara stepped down from the podium.
