Pairings: Draco and Hermione
Hermione waved goodbye to her two children as the Hogwarts Express took them away for another year. Tears streamed down her face as she watched the train leave. She turned around and saw Ginny and Harry drag their whining daughter away and her eyes caught the back of Draco's head. Two arms then came behind her and held her tightly whispered lowly to her.
"Ready to go love?" came the voice of Ronald Weasley.
"NO!" Hermione screamed as her eyes snapped open. She clutched her heart as she breathed heavily from the awful nightmare she had; it seemed to get worse and worse as she went to sleep at night.
"Same dream?" asked the voice of her husband. Hermione stared up at him and sighed in relief as she was looking into the eyes of Draco Malfoy; her husband.
Hermione nodded and got up from the couch she was laying on. A shiver ran down her spine as she remembered the appalling dream. Draco took off his glassed and pinched the bridge of his nose while shaking his head. He took his wife into his arms and kissed her temple tenderly. "It was just a dream"
"Oh, but it was horrible!" Hermione gasped, trying to block out the disturbing images. "It was so unreal and strange. Ginny and Harry were married and had three kids, Ron was my husband and we had two kids named Hugo and Rose, and your hair-"
Draco pulled Hermione away at arms length and stared at her intently. "What about my hair?"
"You'd be too distressed if I said anything," she whispered as she ran her fingers through his full, silky hair. She reached on her tiptoes and placed a kiss on his forehead.
"All is well dear," Draco said as he wrapped his arms around her waist protectively. "And it isn't real. There are too many flaws to your story."
"Yes. Yes I suppose you're right love." Hermione's expression still held the same worry.
Draco shook his head as the two walked down the halls of their manor. "Ginny and Blaise got married, remember?" Hermione nodded and rested her head on his shoulder. "And we attended Potter and Weasley's civil ceremony last week. Who would've thought that the two of them were secretly lusting after one another-well I did-but that is beside the point."
Hermione stopped and pressed a finger to her lips. She opened the door of their son and daughter's room and smiled contently. "Yes, I remember." She whispered gently while closing the door softly.
"Take some dreamless sleep potion," Draco said as they walked into the master bedroom. "And tell me-what happened to my hair?"
Authoress Note: Just a short drabble haha I think of this every time I think of the Epilogue. If you don't like it, I don't care because I love it.
