"I think…" Daniel said slowly, eyes flicking over to the ominous giant red button mounted on the dirt wall. Jack followed his gaze, swearing when a rock clipped his shoulder.
"No!" he bellowed, throwing up an arm to protect his head. "We do not go around pushing big red buttons!"
"Sir, the entrance has caved in!" Carter's voice yelled over Jack's radio. "We're trapped inside!"
"What if it's something to stop the quakes?" Daniel shouted. "If you would just let me translate—"
"Daniel, does it look like we have time for you to translate the stuff around it?" Jack demanded. "The button's red. That tells us all we need to know: Don't push it!"
"That's a cultural warning!" Daniel argued. "It might not mean the same thing—"
"I don't care!"
Daniel glared at Jack, jaw set as stone before turning and sprinting towards the large button.
"NO!" Jack ran after the archeologist but it was too late. Daniel punched the red button with a burst of strength. Almost immediately, the quakes worsened, forcing Jack to his knees. He buried his face in his hands despairingly.
"Fer cryin' out loud…we're doomed!"
